While visiting the Rehoboth area of Massachusetts I noticed a lot of home with Solar Panels. I find it difficult to believe that the payback would be worth it in an area that seems to be clouded over alot. Anybody out there that has some inside knowledge of the Solar market? Good tax benefits????
  • Nebraska graduate students concerned about provision in House tax bill

Graduate students at the University of Nebraska and other universities around the country are raising concerns over one provision of the broader tax overhaul approved on a party-line vote in the House of Representatives on Thursday. Tuition waivers offered to graduate students and those in doctorate programs are not taxed as income under current tax laws, but the bill introduced by House Republicans would remove that exemption. If that provision remains intact after Senate consideration, graduate students receiving a tuition waiver — about 0.05 percent of the U.S. population — would essentially be taxed on money they never receive. Brandy...

Let’s be honest, whether fair or not, Philadelphia has a certain reputation. It’s a city where football fans booed and threw snowballs at Santa Claus. Baseball fans once threw D cell batteries (the big ones) at visiting outfielder J.D. Drew. And now, it’s where an adorable robot who was only counting on the kindness of strangers to hitchhike across the country was vandalized, effectively ending his summer trip. hitchBOT’s trip came to an (Friday) night in Philadelphia after having spent a little over two weeks hitchhiking and visiting sites in Boston, Salem, Gloucester, Marblehead, and New York City. Unfortunately, hitchBOT...

The chairman of Nebraska's Republican Party predicts that Sen. Ben Nelson's decision to back sweeping health care legislation will be his downfall. "I think this is the end of his political career in the state of Nebraska,” says Mark Fahleson. On Saturday, the state party launched a Web site, givebentheboot.com, to collect funds to oust the Democrat in the 2010 election. Nelson said earlier Saturday that he decided to support the measure after winning concessions to limit the availability of abortions in insurance sold in newly created exchanges, as well as tens of million in federal Medicaid funds for Nebraska....

ALBANY -- As the story goes, Lisa Shutter went shopping on Central Avenue on Dec. 22, got lost picking up a friend and was eventually stopped by police in West Hill. That's where an officer reached into her underpants and touched her genitals during a cavity search on a city street, she told internal investigators on Christmas Eve.

Hagel's name is making the rounds for a slot in the Obama White House, and Nelson tells me Hagel has excellent foreign policy credentials. The cabinet slot most associated with Hagel is Secretary of Defense

A Bellevue couple says a day at the park left their toddler scarred for life. The question is whether the blame lies with the city or a baby sitter. A protective bandage helps the healing but today's smile can't erase painful memories of Jordan Livermore burning her leg on a metal slide. Jordan's father, Justin Livermore, says, "It's not a long slide so it had to be pretty hot to burn her that quick." On a hot June day an aunt brought the toddler and cousins to Bellevue's Goldenrod Park but Jordan's mother, Erin Goforth, doesn't blame the adult sitter.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Attorney General Jon Bruning stopped hinting and started running for U.S. Senate on Thursday. Bruning made the announcement through state Treasurer Shane Osborn. His race to Washington could include trying to unseat a fellow Republican, Chuck Hagel. The senator known nationally for his criticism of President George W. Bush's Iraq war policies has said he will decide later this year whether to run for a third term.

First before you read this understand I am asking for opinions not knee jerk reactions. Before you chalk me up as a troll research the war your self! I was wondering what part “White Guilt” is playing with President Bush’s support of the immigration bill. He was the governor of Texas. I support him 100% in that we need to stay in Iraq (fingers crossed that surge works) But I am stumped as to why he is supporting this bill and shooting harder at his base than he has ever shot at his political foes I was watching a History...

Where does the money go? Drivers are always on the lookout for the lowest gas prices. But after we fill up, where does the money go? A new kind of gas station in Mllard that wants people to think about that question. The gas station at 131Street and Q used to show a Sinclair dinosaur. Now, in big bold letters "Terror Free Oil." The idea is to sell gasoline made from oil orginating in countries friendly to the United States
