USN and USAF Veteran. I found an old paystub dated March, 1980 which was right before he retired as an E9 with 26 years of service. Base pay was $1,629.60 a month. That works out to about $20,000/yr or roughly 10 bucks an hour. We can't hire stockers where I work for that rate now. Korean War Veteran, two Vietnam tours and never heard him comment about what he saw there. Great man, loved his country and will be missed. Also reposting some photos from what I believe was around 1966 ~ 1967 when he was at Phan Rang Air...

Bought a 32" Samsung QLED smart Tv for the RV. Have a TP Link using as an access point. My TV and phone connect to my network flawlessly. I launch Screen Mirroring on my iPhone and the TV shows up as a device to connect to. I select that device (TV). The TV shows a passcode on the screen and I enter it into the phone. So all is good, right? The stupid smart TV then says... "Cannot connect to the Samsung Server"? Samsung says there is no workaround. The TV must be connected to the internet even though Apple...

"Like many of you," Sergeant Major of the Army Michael Grinston tweeted Monday, "I was concerned by the video of [2nd Lt. Caron] Nazario's traffic stop in December. Female soldiers can let their hair down, and flash a little nail color under new rules being approved by the Army. But male soldiers will still have to shave. Army leaders announced Tuesday that they are loosening restrictions on various grooming and hairstyle rules, as service leaders try to address longstanding complaints, particularly from women. The changes, which also expand allowances for earrings and hair highlights and dyes, are particularly responsive to women of various ethnicities, and will allow greater flexibility for braids, twists, cornrows and other styles more natural for their hair. . . . I have some cash parked on the sidelines (stable investment) in my companies 401k. With the little pull back we've seen, strong GDP numbers, possible CV19 vaccine on the horizon and the election, it may a buying opportunity, or maybe not. I only have the option to buy (or sell) at the closing price of the day. Thinking of picking up some shares of a S&P 500 tracker fund we have available as an investment at the days end. I'm definitionally not looking investment advise, just wondering how fellow Freepers are feeling about the market going forward?
