I sure do feel bad for her. She's one of the smartest people in the country and she gets characterized as a mammy and a whore. It's interesting that those are the two positions that were once characterized as the only choices for black women. (Or for that matter--any woman: taking care of babies are "taking care of" men.)
Haven't we come a long way as a country??? Fortunately, I think her critics will be on the wrong side of history on this matter. And I also think, although this is just a guess, that if those said critics ever spent a few minutes with her face to face, they would be in awe. I mean, she's the type that can play Mozart, speak Russian and discuss international politics ALL AT THE SAME TIME.
If this polling is accurate, then Bush campaign has failed. I cannot imagine how midwesterners believe Kerry will pick Justices better than Bush. Does 'god in the pledge' or partial birth abortion come to the mind of these people being polled?
Rasmussen poll represents one party's enthusiasm for their candidate. Since it is an automated caller, the voter must be enthusiastic to receive a call by a computer. I don't know what it all means but I consider Rasmussen a reliable poll to follow.
I find their explanation on defining likely voters very informative. It could explain why their are wide differences between polls. For example, Zogby probably uses a likely voter scale differenly than Fox.
