The USS Nimitz might be best known for the famous "Tic Tac" encounter in 2004 - but crewman Kevin Thomas has claimed he witnessed a different incident about a decade earlier. Two Navy pilots are said to have captured on film a Tic Tac-shaped UFO in 2004 during a routine training mission over the Pacific. I was reminded of the original of this song when I saw the article linked below pop up on my news feed a couple of weeks back. Then the original song came up on Spotify today so I read the article and found this 2020 Lockdown version of the song. Love seeing these guys all old...lol. Just made me happy. This song to me is the epitome of the English New Wave movement. I saw them in 1982 at a small venue. My second ever concert...my first being The Who. I was 15 just about to turn 16, I'm guessing....

A 12-year-old boy who was comatose in the United Kingdom has died after a lengthy legal battle ended with the determination that doctors could remove him from life support. The modern era of mass shootings began here on a searing summer day in 1966. Just before noon, from high atop the University of Texas Tower, an ex-Marine sharpshooter named Charles Whitman leveled his rifle over the railing, peered through his scope and shot a pregnant student in the belly. He hit her boyfriend in the neck. He shot a teenager in the mouth. Blasting at victims 500 yards away, the 25-year-old engineering student fired at will for 20 minutes — the time it took for students and residents to fetch their own high-powered rifles and shoot back, helping an...

A tabernacle valued at $2 million was stolen from a Roman Catholic church in Brooklyn over Memorial Day weekend, according to the New York Police Department. Officials also say statues of angels flanking the church altar were decapitated over the weekend. The tabernacle theft likely occurred sometime between 6:30 p.m. Thursday and 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church near Slope Park, according to police officials. How did vandals accomplish this much damage at the church? Police say power tools were used to "forcefully cut open" the altar and access the 18-karat-gold tabernacle — which has been part...
