I told this story here before long ago, but in the 2000s when my son was little in grade school, he attended a private school for a couple of years. One of his teachers was a white Christian South African lady of Dutch descent. The hoops she had to jump through just to keep her green card and eventually get citizenship was mind-boggling. It cost her tens of thousands of dollars. Probably over $100,000 after it was all said and done. I knew back then why the red carpet wasn’t being rolled out for her.

These people are completely insufferable. The white dude is actively hoping they fail. But, you know what? They won’t. Because this is an opportunity they know they have to seize. I’m very happy for them.

I was reading a South African lady’s thread about this last night on X. She has already come to the United States and has been here for a few years. But she was congratulating them and saying how they would feel so much safer over here. There were some positive comments but so many negative comments from black South Africans belittling the people as lazy, poor Afrikaners and how the refugees won’t make it over here...that they will be heading back to South Africa in less than a year. Lol. I highly doubt any of them who get into America from South Africa will ever go back. I guess it’s extreme jealousy over them being able to get out. But there were some black Africans who wished them well.

After that, I sort of went down a rabbit hole and was looking at other related or loosely related threads/accounts and it was funny to see some black Africans expressing upset that there country is being invaded by other Africans from places as far away as Somalia. Anyway, it’s a complex and often very ugly world out there. I wish the initial refugees who made it here the very best.

The whole press conference was totally awesome, but that was by far my favourite part.

It looks like DH’s son and daughter-in-law were very big donors of the left and leftist causes...they too had a turnaround like their dad/father-law and are now our MAGA.
