Bill Rice, the guy who lost the finger, didn’t plan on going to a protest rally. He was driving down the street and saw some Code Pink people. He stopped to see if they were protesting the military. Rice has a son who’s an officer in the Marines.
He talked with a Pink Code person and when he learned they were rallying for Obamacare he decided to leave. Then the O supporter came across the street and started the trouble.
So Shuster is lying when he says Rice was protesting Obamacare.
I’ve read there was a house with its lights on near the scene of the accident . All Kennedy had to do was go to the house, make a call and get help quickly. But no his political future was more important.
Driving home from work today I went by a VA hospital. It made me sick to see the flag at half mast for Kennedy. If he was alive he’d be pushing the Death Book.
This video has exploded in the past few days. When I first saw it on Saturday it has 375 hits. On Sunday it was up to 70,000. And yesterday, Monday, it was up to 300,000.
Gays are angry with Obama too. I was at my local Whole Foods last Saturday and saw the latest Advocate, the gay magazine. Obama was on the cover but instead of the word “Hope” it said “Nope?”.
I was there, but didn’t get into the auditorium. I was part of the overflow crowd that got into the gym.
Yes, the crowd was huge, about 2,000. This district is one of the most liberal in GA, but I’d guess at least half of the crowd was conservative.
Johnson did plan for a large crowd. The auditorium seats 500 and 1,000 seats were set up in the gym. Still about 500 people couldn’t get in. (My rep, John Lewis is only having telephone talks, so this was my only chance to go to a town hall meeting.)
But I stayed only for about a half hour. Johnson is very low-key. His monotone voice was making me sleepy. Then he had people speak about their health problems. I could tell the opposition wouldn’t have a chance to speak.
