This is just so much b.s. Complete the sentence.

Was: "Jobs that Americans won't do."

Is: "Jobs that Americans won't do for those wages."

Pay me 25 bucks an hour and I'll take any job out there, but I'll be darned if I'll leave my present job at 25 bucks an hour for anything less. And why should I?

Good points folks. But I remember when Renaldus Magnus Reagan was elected. He was sitting in one of the first cabinet meetings after the election and they were discussing something or other and the advice he got from his minions was on the order of "you can't do that because...". Reagan replied, "Well, then what was the point of getting elected?" And then he proceeded to do exactly what the advisors advised against...and everything turned out just fine.

My question is, what is the point of electing these guys if they don't do what the constituents that voted for them want them to do? I'm not after a glass half-full explantion. I'm wondering what's the point? If it smells like amnesty and walks like amnesty and there's gonna be no stopping these criminals, then what's the point of me electing anymore of the same?

I'm just tired of it. Sick and tired of it.

I have another question: Which misdemeanor can I break repeatedly without penalty for 20 or more years? Lemme see, speeding? How about bank robbery-lite, where I only take a few hundred dollars per week? If the criminals get to have a free pass, then I want one too!!!

I'm so frustrated. I have to voice myself somewhere...this is as good a place as any.

I thought, and forgive me if I'm wrong, but I thought we elected a representative form of government. That means the folks we elect are supposed to at least listen to us...at least that much. In the case of immigration the president does not even seem to be listening to his base, or if he is, he's ignoring them. I've reached the point of total dispair.

I'm one day away from going into hibernation mode...which means, no more voting, no more participation, no more listening to the politicos, no more cash donations, no more caring.

People will ask, like Rush L., "Well, do you want the dems to control congress and the government? Because if you don't get out and support our guys then that's what you'll get." My answer is this: Our guys are just doing what "they--the liberals" want anyway, so what's the difference? Therefore I'm one day away from just chucking the whole thing.

I'll miss Free Republic. Good luck all you patriots.

In case anyone reads this who cares, I have a proposal for all the people who "marched" today.

Start a big movement and name it FMF or Fix Mexico First. All you folks, hardworkers that you are and all, why don't you go home to Mexico and march down there and fix your own country? This one, The United States of America, doesn't seem to be broken like Mexico, so start there and use your newly found political power for something useful.

    Yep, FMF. It's catchy, jingoistic...I think it's a hit.

You are not only articulate, you are also...wrong.

Massachusetts now forces people, via the new law, to obtain health insurance, whether they want to or not. That's not freedom, that's mandatory governmental dictate. You may counter with the car insurance argument, but I say that also is not freedom.

My argument is this: if the government is going to force us to buy a product, then they should force the businesses who supply that product to make it affordable to the least common denominator among us. Let's get real here, when was the last time your car insurance company (a multi-billion industry) offered you a break on your monthly premium? The government forces us to pay...then they should also force the insurance companies to make it cost 10 dollars a year! And if you don't like it, too damn bad, it's the LAW!!!

All I know is what I know and that is the simple fact that if Jimmey Carter is in favor of this deal then it should be handed over to some other company. Hopefully one in the United States, say Halliburton!

You guys are right. Scarves do slip after a hard days holding up F@#$ @&sh signs and running down the USA. I guess I didn't get the context of the context of the post. As far as I'm concerned anyone that has to wear a mask while participating excercising their freedom of speech in the United States of America is a coward. And a dangerous coward at that.

Isn't there please, a summer camp or an island somewhere, a place all these people can go and be with others like themselves. I get so tired of being told how evil I am. I get so tired of being told how stupid I am. Can't they all just go away?

I suppose that won't happen. I suppose that as long as there are big megabuck foundations and free trips on a school bus to protest, these folks will keep on showing up.

What the country obviously needs is something to focus their attention on reality. I got a job, why don't they have to get one?

I submit it's not taken at the same time at least. Notice the prominant knot in the first photo. The knot is directly centered over the white stripe. In subsequent photos the knot is changed and drawn over the the left side of (subjects left side). Who knows when these cropped photos were taken, before, during or after the event? No way to tell.

Besides, nowdays with photoshop nothing is believeable in a photo. Remember, we've all seen Tom Hanks receive a medal from President Lyndon Johnson in the movie Forest Gump.

So, what are we trying to do here? Tell everyone The story may be false, but the context is true? Sound familiar?

It's always amazed me that these mullahs are followed so, well, religiously.

I mean, who the hell are these guys? They read some dusty ancient manuscript written by some ancient ancestors who were only commenting on ancient historical references made by some third party who wasn't actually there...and suddenly, they're experts.

And, God talks directly to them...not to anyone else, just them. Don't belive me...off with your head!!!!

I've seen property as discussed in this thread and others include intellectual property, i.e. copyrights and patents. Wouldn't another form of property be my bank account? After all, it's just a place I store my "property" in a form that's easily accessible and transferrable.

So, does the recent decision by SCOTUS mean that my financial property can be seized and given to some other giant account simply because the government can obtain more taxes from a larger account than they can from my small pittance?

If that is so, then what? Communistic "redistribution" of my wealth...my "property" that I worked my lifetime to accumulate?

    Curious minds wanna know?

Well, another deal conducted late and in the dark of night. And, I got a call this afternoon from the Republicans asking me for money. I think they know/knew they're not getting any more financial help from me and those others like me who feel betrayed by the good old boys. Just trying to get a buck at the last minute before the old bank door slams shut. I was very suspicious of the timing and had to actually hang up on the young man who called, he was not rude but I told him no and he didn't want to take that for an answer.

On the other hand, listening to Air America to find out how the loyal opposition is taking things...they're even more upset than we are. That being said, let us pause to consider the nature of politics and what we're actually worried about here. We have boys and girls out in the field right now, tonight, fighting and maybe dying. That's what's most important. If this deal gets the senators off dead-center so we can get the war issues dealt with hastily then I support it in that respect.

After I cool down a bit I might even get some sleep.
