Soros, War & Sovereignty
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review ^ | October 11, 2004 | Ralph R. Reiland

Posted on 10/11/2004 4:17:11 PM PDT by Tailgunner Joe

...Soros said that we must start by correcting our own behavior, by looking at what we've done wrong. One thing he sees as wrong is that George W. Bush is commander in chief. Another wrong, he says, is that the United States isn't signed up with the Kyoto treaty or the International Criminal Court in The Hague.

My own alarm bells, at that point, started to ring. To implement the U.N.'s Framework Convention for Climate Change, the Kyoto rules require industrialized nations to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases, starting with a 5.2 percent cut over 10 years. But now the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Changes says the reduction should be around 60 percent to really make a difference. The problem, on top of the job losses, is that we don't even know if the greenhouse effect is actually increasing, or even if human activity has anything to do with it.

With the International Criminal Court, designed to try people for war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity, who can say that American troops won't be pulled up for trial, or anyone caught in a Cadillac Escalade, once driving a big ol' thang is judged to be a transgression against humanity?

I don`t understand what a Hungarian born billionaire can tell me about America or what we`re all about. Kyoto would cost America $200bil and numerous jobs. The International Criminal court? please, Americans should never have to stand up to trumped up charges in a fake court. We have the best system of laws (at least for now) of any nation in the world. We should be the ones trying all the world`s criminals.

Who is Jorj Zorro? And who appointed him king of America?

I sure didn't vote for the jackleg!!!

Far as I know, he's not even a citizen of the US. Which give me one vote more than he'll ever have. Game, set, match...I win!

"In reply to my second question, about how he would fight terrorism, Soros said that we must start by correcting our own behavior, by looking at what we've done wrong."

I agree with him and the first thing I'd do is throw his rear out of the country.

Soros was a philosopher. Then he decided to be a billionaire as a quicker way to implement his teleological system.

I`m a philosopher too, I can toss the B.S. with the best of them! Unfortunately, very few tend to listen without copious amounts of beer. I guess all I have to do is become a billionaire now.
