I love your views and many of the others and I bless the work of the Swift Boat Vets and their excellent timing that I truly believe caused Kerry to lose.

I lost my first husband, a Green Beret, in Nam 5 years before John O'Neill appeared against Kerry on the Dick Cavett show in 1971. I want Kerry exposed for what he is and what he did!

I remember when my first husband was packing his gear to return for a second tour to Nam and we had a big old heavy movie camera laying on the bed and I asked him if he wanted to take it with him and he looked at me and said, "You have no idea what I am going back to and it sure is not a place for a movie camera!" John Kerry took one there a few years later so he could have footage of himself walking around with his gun looking macho and every time I saw that footage this campaign season I cried.

Somehow there must be a way to get that expunged record of his less than honorable first discharge as I feel deep in my soul it is in those records just that none of us can get to it. I have no faith in Judicial Watch but there just must be a way to get to it. Kerry will never sign that Form 180 and we all know that. I pray the truth will come out about this legend in his own mind and I thank God he has been defeated but I want more justice than that.

  • (Vanity) Does anyone have a video clip of the Ohio State marching band dotting the "i"?

Great idea but can't help you. I graduated from another Ohio college and went to grad school at U of Michigan but as a native Ohioan who has now lived in the Columbus suburbs the last 20 years I must tell you that image of the Buckeye band is just perfect for today and hope someone has it to share.

Yesterday around 1 PM President Bush and his wife Laura stopped just to thank the volunteers at the Franklin County Bush campaign HQ and that sure was another touch of class for that wonderful couple. My husband and I have been working very hard as volunteers for months and am just happy and just so tired this morning but all our efforts sure were worth it. God bless the first family and our Nation!

My husband and I would stand in a monsoon if we had to as we can't wait to vote for Bush tomorrow. We are retired and were just discussing what would be the best time to go get in line so we do not slow up people who have to get to work. We fortunately live in a very Republican part of town - that rich part of town where we get those huge tax cuts for the rich....hee hee hee! That always cracks me up when Kerry says it as Teresa pays 12 percent in taxes and is using every shelter and loophole her tax specialists can arrange. We Senior Citizens on pension and Social Security pay a higher percentage than Teresa.

Yes we definitely need a kinder gentler war on terror. I am old enough to have lost my first husband in Viet Nam and am not ready to join hands in a big circle and sing Peace songs with Usama and his pals. Maybe Kerry can appease him by going to his cave for a group hug and then go on Al Jazeera and call all our men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan baby killing monsters. It worked before he might as well try it again!

My husband and I were at the Columbus, Ohio rally last night and had no idea until we got home that Usama was alive and well and out there on the vote for Kerry campaign stump! The Secret Service was very uptight and nasty when they threw away a $40 bottle of my perfume, a metal rat tail comb, and my small folding umbrella out of my purse. All is forgiven SS as I should have been smarter!

All I can think of today is how happy Michael Moore must be to have Usama quoting his "documentary" views on his video. That slob must be rubbing his hands together with glee thinking how much more money he will be able to make from it now going to sell big not just in the caves but on the Arab street.

Plus that the security Moms foolishly will start thinking Kerry might be able to negotiate and appease this murderous monster or the reelection of Bush will increase his terrorist membership. Wrong thinking ladies stop and think it out calmly with all emotions in check. Team Kerry will not make everything just swell again my sisters.

Thanks for your comments and others....I am also feeling so frightened tonight and concerned we might end up with Kerry in the White House as so much of the population are so stupidly uninformed. To think we all used to call Clinton "Slick" and even if he is, Kerry is "Slicker" and more frightening as he could get us all killed. I have a horrid week on the home front but just decided to drive miles and work downtown at the phone bank for Bush tomorrow night and every night I can. Rudy is just Great!

That back and forth on O'Reilly was absolutely perfect. I also think that we are ready for a declared war as this is just such a mess and we are a nation torn apart and not together and in great danger, while so many of our countrymen have their heads in the sand.

Thanks for this post. I adore Malkin and often feel she is crying out in the Wilderness but hopefully at least we here at Free Republic hear her warning. I live in Columbus, Ohio and the shopping mall they had planned to bomb is named Polaris and it is a very upscale fashion mall on the yuppy North side of the side....Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord and Taylor etc. Lovely shopping center and just a few years old.

Our huge Somali population lives predominately on the SW side of Columbus. They own many of the small convenience stores in the lower socio economic sections of Columbus.

Yes it is frightening but what frightens me more is how many more terrorists are out there loose and unknown but in waiting to strike and kill as many Americans as possible right under our noses while we go around with blinders on and many are stupid enough to think John Kerry would do a better job of protecting us than George W Bush.

FR Addict posted this on the other thread run on this show:

    Found this:

    With antiwar role, high visibility
By Michael Kranish, Globe Staff, 6/17/2003
    ...excerpt
O'Neill for years has declined to talk about the experience, partly because he says he became disillusioned with politics and government after the fall of Saigon in 1975.

But in a telephone interview from Texas, where he is a trial attorney, O'Neill made it clear he still harbors resentment at the way Kerry accused veterans of atrocities.

"The primary reason I got involved was I thought the charges of war crimes were irresponsible and wrong," O'Neill said. "I thought they did a real disservice to all the people that were there. I thought they were immoral."

The bitterness remains. Asked whether he agrees with the view of some observers that Kerry was forever altered by the war, O'Neill responded: "The war didn't change [Kerry]. I think he was a guy driven tremendously by ambition. I think he was that way before he went and is that way today."

The millions that fled as boat people and those put in re-education camps know that there was a blood bath alright!

I am watching this for the second time and I love how John O'Neill is bringing up Clark Clifford.

God bless John O'Neill! In the phone interview with him on C-Span prior to this show he is shown as how he looks today and what a fine man he is. He has never taken an active part in politics and I wish he had made that his career as truly a man of integrity then and now.

on the first time this was shown about 2 hours ago and so glad this is being RESHOWN as it is MUST SEE.

The Freepers that watched it earlier gave me lots of info on this wonderful John O'Neill who is alive and well and a lawyer in Texas. Not the same good man the other John O'Neill also a man of integrity.

I lost my first husband, a Green Beret Lt, in Viet Nam and I cannot tell you how shocking I find it now years later that John Kerry might make it to the highest office in the Land. God save the USA not only from the Terrorists but from John F. Kerry!

I lost my first husband, a Green Beret Lt, in Viet Nam and all this is bringing back so much old pain but I watched it with tears in my eyes. To think that a man like John F Kerry might make it to the Presidency makes me absolutely sick.

If you missed the early show the rerun is on again in 5 minutes and is a MUST SEE and MUST TAPE

God bless John O'Neill - a true War Hero in my opinion.

Kerry Must Not Win the Presidency....He must NOT!

I have been livid about this since yesterday and have read my eyes off trying to see the points on both sides of this issue both pro and con here with the wonderful Freepers and nothing has swayed me and I agree with every word you posted Harpo11 in your post 140.

My youngest son in the building trades here in Columbus, Ohio is having terrible times getting work due to Mexican illegal work crews getting much of the available work. My Daughter in law a fine teacher is so frustrated with Leave No Child Behind as her 5th grade class is 50% illegal kids and some of them sleep in cars.

I have backed W all the way except his stance on immigration and this time he has really disappointed my entire Conservative family BIG TIME! All I can do is pray my Republican congressman and my two Republican Senators hold up and come out opposed to this new proposal. Karl Rove thanks a lot you have really come up with something that is rocking your party and your President's base!

I have not been posting for awhile but read FR all the time and I am riled over W doing this. I have written to my Republican Senators and my Republican Congressman and also called all 3 offices. I am very opposed to this whole stance and this has been my problem with W all along and on every other issue I back him BUT this is one DUMB idea!
