So, Stanley Druckenmiller ("Druck") says this is the biggest bubble he has ever seen. If we believe him, how do we adjust our IRAs and other investments -- especially for those of us approaching retirement? I know the gold story, but what else can we do? (I like platinum better...)

Interesting buzz on twitter and beyond that the same software used in Michigan was used extensively in 2012 and Romney really won. Forget if BHO is a NBC, what if he really did not win?

North Carolina-based lawyer Erin Brinkman stated on Facebook that her friend has been having an affair with married Democrat North Carolina Senate candidate Cal Cunningham since 2012 and the friend was “devastated” upon finding out that Cunningham is involved in a romantic relationship with another woman named Arlene Guzman Todd, a veteran’s wife. Cunningham admitted to sexting Guzman Todd after NATIONAL FILE published the adulterous sexts. “He’s been having an affair with a good friend of mine since 2012. Not the woman mentioned in the story. Needless to say, my friend was devastated. But my feeling is, if they’ll cheat...

I would like to make a donation to the conservative cause, but I prefer not to donate directly to any campaign for privacy reasons. Which PAC is best to support a clean sweep of the House, Senate and Presidency by the Republicans?

Twitter is buzzing about 50 new sealed indictments posted on the federal PACER system for Northern Virginia. I think that makes 81 in all. What is going on?

I have Time of Use electric power billing and pay only $0.055 per KWH, so the Volt will cost me less than $200 per year to charge. I also rarely drive more than 20 miles per day. I will lease/but one if they are giving them away, and the thought of owning a limited run car is attractive. But, If (when) Romney wins, will he shut the line forever and make the current inventory collectable?

Biden is having a hard time selling out an 1100 person facility on the UNC-Asheville campus. From www.ashvegas.com "A quick 11 a.m. call on Sunday to Organizing for America confirms there are tickets left, according to the Asheville office. Sunday ticket pickup was noon-8 p.m. Sunday at Highsmith University Union at UNC-A and the Organizing for America offices in Asheville and Hendersonville. Check ticket availability at 290-0681. Tickets are first come, first served, and it looks like they are distributed at up to two per person." The Kimmel Arena, which holds 3400, is not mentioned. WOW. The highest concentration of...

What does FR think about CIA Director David Petraeus as the GOP VP candidate?

57% of Republicans are Protestant and 23% are Catholic, if I read the data at Pew Research correctly. Today, after church (Presbyterian, but thinking about joining an unaffilated church), a group of us older and more conservative men began discussing the lack of enthusiasm among the Republican base for any of the current candidates. One fellow said "I am not Catholic because I do not agree with the Catholic Church's teachings and I am not Mormon because I do not want to be a Mormon". Others generally agreed and said that the candidate's religion mattered a lot. Is the talk...

The call by the Arab League for Western military intervention in an Arab state — in this case asking that a UN “no-fly zone” be imposed over Libya – is not only without precedent but it puts in formal terms what Governor Palin stated three weeks ago should have been America’s response to the political and humanitarian crisis now unfolding there. The former GOP vice presidential candidate was being interviewed on February 23rd on national television by Sean Hannity on a range of issues. On the Libya crisis, she proposed a no-fly-zone to protect the armed and un-armed opposition to...

Q: Will Barack Obama be a one-term president? A: Yes, he might last that long. Honest to goodness, the man just does not get it. He might be forced to pull a Palin and resign before his first term is over. He could go off and write his memoirs and build his presidential library. (Both would be half-size, of course.)

I need advice from the Freeper community. I have been a JesseCrat for over 34 years (registered D so I can vote for the easiest D to beat - Like "Operation Chaos") and cannot figure which candidate to vote for in today's primary. Who is easier for Burr to beat, Cunningham or Marshall? Suggestions, please.

Last night, I received a RoboCall from the RNC that featured a spot by Boehner saying he was gearing up to oust Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House and that he was running for the job. Did anyone else get this call? Is this like the "Contract with America"? Has it been announced yet?

I read where Sarah Palin's dad said that Sarah would be field dressing a donkey tonight. So, I looked up donkey recipes and found this. Seems you can buy pre-stewed donkey in a can in Italy. I wish I had found this earlier for the party tonight!

On another thread, somebody had a one-line comment that said something like " and Seabiscuit rounds the corner to make his run..." That started me thinking about writing a new commericial, maybe 60 seconds in length, that would be unconventional and would cause people to look at their TV. Maybe a 527 would be the best source for this kind of ad. To begin, the Beatles song, "A Little Help from My Friends" begins playing. There is no voice-over, just some Ken Burns-style panning and zooming of McCain at the USNA, being shot down, caged, and then released. The photos...

This blog is the result of about a month worth of research on potential Republican Vice-Presidential candidates for the 2008 election. I had been considerably less than thrilled with all of the early speculation, mostly swirling around second-tier presidential candidates, so I decided to see if there was anyone better suited for the job that I hadn't been hearing about. So, I developed the following profile for the perfect VP candidate (using Rudy Giuliani as my presumptive presidential candidate): 1) A energetic, young, fresh face who will energize the electorate 2) Not connected to the current administration 3) Pro-Life 4)...

"The Durham Police Department is currently investigating an allegation that a female Duke student was raped early Sunday morning at a party attended by other Duke students, University officials said in a statement Sunday night." snip "Several students have confirmed that a party hosted by some members of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.-at least one of whom is a resident at the Gattis address-was occurring at the time of the alleged incident." "An 18-year-old woman told officers that she was raped in a bathroom around 3 a.m. while attending a party at the Gattis house. There were about 50 people...
