Jack Lucas, who at 14 lied his way into military service during World War II and became the youngest Marine to receive the Medal of Honor, died Thursday in a Hattiesburg hospital. He was 80. Lucas had been battling cancer and died shortly after midnight after he requested doctors remove a dialysis machine, his wife, Ruby, told The Associated Press. Jacklyn "Jack" Lucas was just six days past his 17th birthday in February 1945 when his heroism at Iwo Jima earned him the nation's highest military honor. He'd used his body to shield three fellow squad members from two grenades,...

The Greenville County Republican Party Executive Committee met Monday night to elect members of three standing committees. The meeting ran for 3 hours, including brief comments by one presidential candidate and representatives of three other candidates. Following the election of members of the Finance, Rules and Candidate Recruitment and Liaison Committees, two hotly debated resolutions were passed by executive committeemen. A resolution proposed by Chris Golden would have asked Sen. Lindsey Graham to resign as a member of the Republican Party, and not seek the Republican Party nomination for the United States Senate or any other office in the future....

JACKSON, Miss. - Mississippi hurricane survivors looked around Saturday and wondered just how long it would take to get food, clean water and shelter. And they were more than angry at the federal government and the national news media. Richard Gibbs was disgusted by reports of looting in New Orleans and upset at the lack of attention hurricane victims in his state were getting. "I say burn the bridges and let 'em all rot there," he said. "We're suffering over here too, but we're not killing each other. We've got to help each other. We need gas and food and...

I signed up with Monster to start a job search and received an email today from a company asking for my resume. The company named is Palmer Employment. I looked at their website (which the email directed me to) and they are located in London, Tokyo and at 590 Madison Ave, NY. I googled this place and get nothing! What concerns me is back a few weeks ago, I got this EXACT same letter but it had no company name for me to go to to check it out. Granted they can already see my resume on Monster but the...

Can someone answer questions that came up recently in a discussion?? First, concerning Al-Q and the beheading of civilians....why does the US not track these groups through their websites? Can't the IP be traced, etc to pin point where these sites originate? I don't understand why these terrorist sites are allowed to show murder and they are not shut down, tracked, etc. I find it hard to believe that we do not have the technology to do this. Also, if this is the way these terrorists are going to operate, why not require US civilian contractors in Iraq to have...
