Former Vikings coach Bud Grant, back from a week of visiting the troops in Iraq with a group of NFL alumni, said the soldiers have a different view about the situation there than what is being told here. Ex-Vikings linebacker Matt Blair also was a member of the group. "They called it 'Meet and Greet' the troops," Grant said. "We weren't like politicians. We weren't with the generals."
