President Trump has been trying his best to get Tina Peters out of prison in Colorado. She was sentenced to nine years in prison at age 69 for, at best, a misdemeanor they raised to a felony. She was acting as a whistleblower, or at least she thought so. In the most vengeful responses, the state has refused every effort to bring her to federal prison. Steve Bannon said she has now been sent to the hole, the special housing unit. In other words, she’s in solitary confinement where wardens send prisoners to break them psychologically and physically. That does...

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Lawmakers sent shockwaves around the globe with the Christmas season right around the corner, as Congress passed a resolution to release Santa Claus' "Naughty or Nice" list. The controversial bill was met with heavy opposition on Capitol Hill, as the release of Santa's list was set to expose the names of naughty power players and world leaders to the public for the first time. "There are a lot of people who don't want this information made public," said House Speaker Mike Johnson. "Rest assured, we didn't make this decision lightly. While there is something to be said...

The Battalion student newspaper at Texas A&M university does not seem to be a fan of conservative student thought. An analysis of the 60 opinion pieces focused on politics published since November 2024 found that nearly all of them — 50 — leaned liberal (35), left-leaning (5), far-left (5), and liberal satire (5). Only 7 of the opinion political pieces were moderate or neutral, and a total of three were conservative, or a ratio of almost 17 to 1 liberal to conservative. The research was conducted by student Justino Russell, who was inspired to dig into the analysis after the...

A Queens man who shot and killed a would-be mugger more than two years ago has been sentenced to four years in prison after he pleaded guilty on Thursday to possessing an unlicensed revolver in a case his attorney said shows New York City's "draconian" gun laws. Charles Foehner, 67, admitted guilt in one count of criminal weapons possession in a plea deal, ending his case stemming from the 2022 shooting of Cody Gonzalez near Foehner's home, reports the New York Post. Prosecutors declined to charge the retired doorman directly in Gonzalez's death after he told police he acted in...

The Democrat National Committee (DNC) has taken out a huge loan in anticipation of next year’s midterms as the party lacks leadership with nothing to show for shutting down the government. Politico on Thursday cited a filing with the Federal Election Commission regarding the $15 million loan. “The national party committee framed the line of credit as an early investment to boost its candidates in New Jersey and Virginia earlier this month, and help build up state parties ahead of next year’s midterms. But the need for a loan still puts the DNC in sharp contrast with its GOP counterpart,...

A vote to condemn the “horrors of socialism” passed on a mostly party-line vote Friday, with 98 Democrats voting against it and 199 Republicans voting for it. The bill passed 285-98. No Republicans voted against the bill, although 20 Republicans did not vote. On the Democrat side, it was far from unanimous, with 86 members voting in favor, and 98 against. Two Democrats voted “present” and 27 did not vote. The resolution, sponsored by Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar, R-Fla., reads “socialism has repeatedly led to famine and mass murders, and the killing of over 100,000,000 people worldwide,” and recognizes “many...

On Wednesday, US District Court Judge Michael Nachmanoff grilled interim U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan in his courtroom during a hearing on disgraced former FBI Director James Comey’s attempts to dismiss his case for vindictive prosecution. While the hearing was specifically about the vindictive prosecution, Judge Nachmanoff, towards the end of the hearing, found that Halligan had signed the two-count indictment without first presenting it to the grand jury. This left the case “hanging by a thread,” as reported by Politico: The Trump administration’s criminal prosecution of former FBI Director James Comey appeared to be in serious jeopardy Wednesday as the...

A cadre of democrats have produced a video in which they encourage members of the military to defy orders. But not directly. In a redux of the "51 former intelligence experts" letter, these democrats - Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) - Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) - Rep. Chris Deluzio (D-Pa.) - Rep. Maggie Goodlander (D-N.H.) - Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (D-Pa.) - Rep. Jason Crow (D-Colo.) have created something that, just like the laptop letter, doesn't come right out and say it, but very strongly implies it. BREAKING: Elected Democrats just released a video encouraging members of the military to commit treason...

Michael English, a Democratic candidate running for mayor of Providence, is addressing renewed attention on a criminal record that includes child molestation convictions from the late 1990s. English has referred to the actions that led to his convictions as “immature decisions” that resulted in a “period of incarceration.” According to the Providence Journal, English was 26 when he engaged in a relationship with a 13-year-old. The outlet reported that after serving a little over a year in prison, English attempted to contact the victim again in 2009. The Providence Journal reviewed court documents related to the case, as English’s file...

The recent Cloudflare outage ought to make us stop and think. One small update — a config file that grew bigger than expected — and suddenly a big chunk of the internet stumbled. Not because of a hacker, not because of a storm, just because of a routine piece of code that didn’t behave the way someone expected. And it reminded me of something from years ago: Y2K. Back in 1999 people were predicting everything from power failures to bank shutdowns. What actually happened? Not much. And because of that, a lot of people convinced themselves Y2K was “nothing.”...

Race dominates nearly every conversation today. From identity politics to corporate boardrooms, racial identity has become the primary lens through which people view the world. But when the Church adopts these ideologies, allowing earthly identities to take precedence over unity in Christ, it signals a severe distortion of biblical truth. How did we get here? How did we move from the biblical concept of one human race, made in the image of God, to a world where race divides, dominates, and distorts everything—even within the Church? The answer lies in the rise of modern ideologies, such as Critical Race Theory...

Is it wrong for white Christian men to have a sense of identity? Ben Shapiro seems to think so. During a recent interview with Dana Loesch, the Daily Wire host lamented the rise in white identity among young conservatives. “I think we can start with what’s driving this in the first place,” Shapiro said. “For a decade or more, there was an attempt by the left to target Christian white men.” Continuing, he explained: "In saying that over and over and over, they started to create a feeling in a lot of young white men, that as a targeted group,...

The University of California system went “test-free” five years ago. SAT and ACT scores aren’t considered in admissions. The percentage of new students who can’t meet high school — or middle school — standards soared. At UC San Diego, where remedial math enrollment went from 30 in 2020 to 900 this year, a tutor said students can’t think their way through a word problem. “We call it quantitative literacy, just knowing which fraction is larger or smaller, that the slope is positive when it is going up,” Janine Wilson, the chair of the undergraduate economics program at UC Davis, told...
