It's coming. Expect it. Liberals blaming everyone and everything but themselves for the nation's continuing economic crisis. And the mounting crisis of government. It's already begun, in fact, over at U.S. News and World Report, where Mortimer B. Zuckerman dusts off Oswald Spengler's Decline of the West to mull over the notion that the West -- including the United States -- may be reaching the end of the line. Let's congratulate Zuckerman for pointing the way in the coming attempt to foist blame on Western civilization for what is, essentially, a failure of leftism. Let's acknowledge, though, that Zuckerman appreciates...

'Mean' = Republicans and/or uppity taxpayers...If there was any doubt remaining as to whether Barack Obama was actually the detached narcissist many have long warned of, the bizarre denial, deflection, and spin coming from him in the wake of the Dems' crushing midterms defeat should do much to clear up any ambiguity. Unsettlingly, this is a man who simply does not appear to learn from error -his or anybody's else's- a catastrophe in such a powerful executive position, but a personality flaw typical of those who dodge responsibility for the results of their actions while surrounding themselves with obsequious bootlicks-...

In what may be Obama's most direct and aggressive criticism of Bill Clinton's presidency yet, the Obama campaign dropped a new mailer just before Super Tuesday that blasts "the Clintons" for wreaking massive losses on the Democratic party throughout the 1990s. "8 years of the Clintons, major losses for Democrats across the nation," reads the mailer, which goes on to list the post-1992 losses suffered by Dems among governors, Senators and members of the House of Representatives. The mailer was forwarded to us by a political operative who told us it was sent to Alaska, though it was probably sent...

"Success has many fathers- but failure is an orphan"The knives already out on Capitol Hill... and like all fun-to-watch wars, this one has multiple factions- according to Moe Lane: _______________________________________________________ The ‘moderates’ blame the liberals for walking all over them; the liberals blame the moderates for going along with passing bad ideas like the stimulus, cap-and-trade, and Obamacare; the idiots (this may be a subgroup: there’s a bit of an overlap here with the first two groups) are claiming that this entire problem would have gone away with a little more marketing; and everybody blames the President. Because really, why...

If you’re a left-of-center media personality and you use your national TV platform to call a candidate for the United States Senate a “bitch,” how might you be rewarded? Apparently in this day and age, you’re granted an interview with a former sitting president of your political party. Even though he wasn’t one of the most distinguished presidents of the United States, former President Jimmy Carter appeared on Joy Behar’s HLN program to promote his book, “White House Diary.” During his interview, Behar asked Carter to offer his assessment of Barack Obama’s performance as president. ...more (w/video)...

Assume the polls are correct and Republicans win control of the House, and perhaps even the Senate, in next month's elections. What lessons will the White House learn? Will Barack Obama interpret the vote as a repudiation of much of his agenda, or will he conclude that he made a few tactical errors but was still right on the big issues? Bet on the latter. All indications coming out of the White House suggest that if Democrats suffer major losses, the president and his top aides will resolutely refuse to reconsider the policies -- national health care, stimulus, runaway spending...

Associated Press Writers – 7 mins ago WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama insisted Friday that the U.S. economy is digging itself out of the deepest recession in decades but conceded that "progress has been painfully slow" and many voters in November's elections may blame him. Facing a rising jobless rate, Obama told a White House news conference: "For all the progress we've made, we're not there yet. And that means people are frustrated and why people are angry." "Because I am president, and the Democrats have control of the House and Senate, it's understandable that people are saying, 'What have...

Lauer to Laura Bush: Is It 'Painful' to Be in New Orleans, Since So Much Blame Is Laid At Your Husband's Feet? Today co-anchor Matt Lauer traveled to New Orleans, on Friday, to mark the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and interviewed the likes of former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin, former FEMA Director Mike Brown, current Democratic Mayor Mitch Landrieu and Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, but saved any sort of direct shots at George W. Bush for his interview with Laura Bush.

About Beck (or is it about Obama?) "People get into trouble when they start taking advice from people who don't know what they're talking about ... You've got to separate politics from personal investing and finances."

AUSTIN, Texas, Aug 9 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama attacked the economic policies of his Republican predecessor George W. Bush in Bush's home state on Monday as evidence of the way Republicans would operate if given power in Nov. 2 U.S. congressional elections.

Doesn’t Obama remind you of those depressing people – you know the ones – you see them approaching at a party and try to look like you’re deep in conversation with someone else to avoid talking to them. Or when their names show up on caller ID, you let it go to voice mail because you’d rather put a needle in your eye than listen to them. Talking to them is just so depressing. Mostly because they do all the talking, you’ve heard it all before, and when the conversation’s over you feel like you need to take a Xanax...

Republicans have been called “mad dogs” and “night riders” who want to “drag us behind a pickup,” referring to the horrible murder of a black man. Republicans are accused of wanting to “starve” children and “take away medicine” from the elderly. Justice Clarence Thomas has been called a “serial murderer,” while commentator Bill O’Reilly has been compared to “Bin Laden.” Rudy Giuliani has been compared to “Mussolini,” an insult both untrue and racist. One may disagree with these persons, but where does one get the idea that they want to murder those who disagree with them? Projection is a psychological...

They are the masters of deception, political schemers. They are Machiavellian in word and deed. They are Democrats. And now that they must face the electorate this November to account for what they’ve done because they are in sole control of the Executive Branch, in majority control of the Legislative Branch and they benefit from a Left lending Judicial Branch. What is new is they have no Bush to hide behind, for the first time in years Democrats will give an account for their ideologies, their political philosophies and their deeds. Yes, all unscrupulous things of Democrat past were hidden...

A poll found voters were twice as likely to blame President George W. Bush than President Obama for economic problems. A new poll released Monday found voters were twice as likely to blame President George W. Bush, rather than President Obama, for the nation’s economic problems. When asked whether Bush or Obama was responsible for the recession, 53 percent of likely voters said Bush and 26 percent said Obama, according to the poll from Third Way, a think tank with close ties to centrist Democrats. Another 21 percent of respondents said they didn’t know. Benenson Strategy Group conducted the survey...

When signs of a severe economic downfall emerged more than two years ago, then-candidate Barack Obama was quick to point a finger at the man he hoped to replace. Seventeen months into his administration, the message is often the same, and Republicans say it's time for him to drop the Bush bashing and take ownership of the problem. "Nothing makes a president look weaker than pointing the finger at past administrations," said Republican strategist Ron Bonjean. "By blaming somebody, it looks like you are playing politics and people just want jobs. They don't care about whose fault it is. Playing...

I feel enraged at the lack of compassion the Republicans in the Senate have for the unemployed needing a hand in the form of unemployment benefits which have run out. Yet, these same Republican Senators passed every request by the Bush Administration, without providing the funds for them, including the lack of funding of both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, unfunded Medicare benefits which they approved, as well as unfunded requirements from the No Child Left Behind legislation they also approved. They want government destroyed by weighing it down with debt, while they blame Democrats under the Obama presidency for...

Americans with children aged 18 years or younger are less likely to exercise and more likely to be overweight or obese, according to a new report. The findings are based on more than 59,000 interviews with Americans, aged 18 to 50, from January to June 2010, conducted as part of the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index. Participants were asked "In the last seven days, on how many days did you exercise for 30 or more minutes?" The impact on exercise was most pronounced for those with very young kids, aged 0 to 4. About 28 percent of parents in this group said...
