In court on Monday morning, June 7th, Judge Patrick Schiltz sentenced 27-year-old Bryce Michael Williams to two years and three months in federal prison and ordered him to help pay $12 million in restitution for the damage. A progressive Minneapolis neighborhood that pledged not to call the police in the wake of the death of George Floyd is now dealing with a 300-strong homeless encampment in a local park, Traffic has reportedly increased in the neighborhood around Powderhorn Park, as drug dealers seek to meet their clientele displaced during the civil unrest, rioting and looting following Floyd’s death at the end of May. Police on the campus of a taxpayer-funded university in central Michigan have arrested a man for posting a threat against black people on Yik Yak, the anonymous social media app. The threat declared: “I’m going to shoot every black person I can on campus.
