The Congressional Black Caucus called for Rep. Steve King (R-Ia.) to be removed from his committee assignments Saturday after remarks he made about white supremacy earlier this week. CBC chair Rep. Karen Bass (D-Ca.) linked King's comments to President Trump and asked for him to be deposed. “Like Donald Trump,” she said, “Steve King has sought again and again to give comfort to white supremacists, something that should never be allowed in the halls of Congress or the Oval Office. Bass characterized King's remarks as "racist" and the Iowa Republican needed more than just condemnation. “If Republicans really believe these...

Is it any wonder that Lance Mason believed that he could get away with killing his wife? On the way back from a funeral, Judge Lance Mason beat his wife so badly that he broke her orbital socket. A woman who called 911 had described a horrifying scene of “fists flying” inside the car. Their two children, ages 4 and 6, were in the SUV when their father assaulted their mother, choked her and bit her on the ear and the cheek. According to Aisha, Judge Mason "struck me in the face, yanked my hair, slammed my head into the...

In the last decade, every single House Democrat sent to prison for financial crimes was a Congressional Black Caucus member. In the last twenty years, it’s been over 80%. After the midterms, the CBC has grown past a record 50 members. But that doesn’t mean it’s getting better. Power makes it worse... The Congressional Black Caucus has achieved a record number of seats so it’s a power player in the new Dem House majority. And CBC leaders are demanding a status in the Democrat leadership commensurate with their growing numbers. The Caucus forms somewhat less than a quarter of the...

This flirtation with the idea of a Democratic bloodbath over the House speakership was fun. I admit; a little part of me was hoping for a slog. It would’ve been a moment of shattered unity for the new Democratic House before the new sessions officially began. And I would have loved to see what Donald Trump would’ve have said, or done, to get Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) the votes she would have needed if she fell short. Right now, some 16 or so House Democrats have formed a Never Nancy wing, adamant that they will not support her speakership bid....

Members of the Congressional Black Caucus held a press conference on Thursday urging senators on the judiciary committee to reject the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump's nominee to the Supreme Court. In the news conference lawmakers and civil rights activists argued that Kavanaugh would weaken provisions of the Voting Rights Act and be a general threat to civil rights on the Court. Not enough is known about Kavanaugh's potential views on issues including civil rights cases due to the Trump administration's unwillingness to release more documents related to his tenure as a White House lawyer. "We stand in solidarity...

Before you watch this insanity, which made the social media rounds this week, may I remind you that Senator Barack Obama met privately with, and complimented, this man at an event coordinated by the Congressional Black Caucus -- a disgrace that was deliberately hidden from voters until Obama was safely out of office? Â May I also remind you that numerous CBC members have courted this man's support, including the current deputy DNC Chairman, who hasn't been truthful about the nature of that relationship? Â As I've previously argued, "minister" Louis Farrakhan is the Left's version of David Duke, in that...

Rev. Louis Farrakhan gave a Saviours’ Day 2018 Address on Sunday in which he declared that "the powerful Jews are my enemy," and "white folks are going down." The Chicago speech went widely unnoticed at first, but garnered more traction on Wednesday when excerpts were tweeted out. CNN anchor Jake Tapper, for example, tweeted out a thread of the keynote speech with some of his quotes, and said Farrakhan was more dangerous than other "alt-reich" leaders because he “has a much larger following and elected officials meet with him openly.” “Jews were responsible for all of this filth and degenerate...

There are few surprises here. Just the inevitable descent of the Democrats into the fever swamps of hatred and extremism. According to the anti-Israel group behind the Congressional letter, “The effort to gather signatories to the letter was supported by a coalition of human rights organizations including U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights, CODEPINK, Jewish Voice for Peace, and American Muslims for Palestine.” American Muslims for Palestine has been linked to Hamas. Jewish Voice for Peace, which is neither Jewish nor peaceful, is a BDS group. This is what the Dems are mainstreaming. 32 Democrats in Congress signed on to a...

The Congressional Black Caucus (a group of 48) has become the front running group in calls for impeaching President Trump. With media reporting near constantly that the president is a racist, it is to be expected that a few folk fall for it, but for elected politicians to bury into this seems a tad ridiculous. Is there a deeper motive behind their strengthening opposition? The black unemployment rate has dropped to a level that (if it continues) will eventually be at the same rate as the rest of America. Jobs are coming back to the U.S., the economy is looking...

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) Tired of all this Winning yet? – President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those words) gave a wonderful State of the Union Address Tuesday night. The speech was filled with soaring rhetoric about American unity, American greatness and America’s renewed place of leadership in the world. So naturally the Democrats hated it. The speech talked about the creation of 2.4 million new jobs since Trump took office, record low unemployment and the booming stock market. So naturally the Democrats hated it. The speech talked about our flag and what it...

Appearing on this evening’s Hardball, Rep. Karen Bass, a Democrat and leader of the Congressional Black Caucus, twice accused Republican Senators Tom Cotton and David Perdue of “flat-out lying” by saying that they didn’t hear President Trump refer to various countries as “s—holes.” Bass then took things an ugly step further, insinuating that President Trump might have bribed the two senators in some way. Said Bass: “I think that they’re flat-out lying. And maybe they’re getting something from the President for it.” Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

EXCERPT .....the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) voted Sheila Jackson Lee as the new chairwoman of the board overseeing the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, the leadership development arm of the CBC........ America can look forward to more eager Black leaders like icon John Conyers (forced out of Congress for molesting women), Alcee Hastings (used $220,000 tax dollars to settle sex complaint), Jesse Jackson Jr (incarcerated), Corinne Brown (incarcerated), Chakah Fattah (incarcerated), Black Muslim Andre Carson, Black Muslim Keith Ellison, Yvette Clarke (wrote off $120,000 tax dollars and massive amts of "stolen" govt issue tech equipment)......

The Office of House Employment Counsel brokered a settlement in 2006 over allegations that Rep. Gregory Meeks fired a staffer in retaliation for reporting that she was sexually assaulted at a business tied to a campaign contributor, The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned. Andrea Payne, then a congressional aide in the New York Democrat’s Queens office, filed a complaint with the Office of Compliance, and Meeks fired her weeks later. He admitted that Payne’s termination did not have to do with the quality of her work, according to her lawsuit.

Perhaps Democrats should take Han Solo’s advice from Episode IV after last night’s big electoral win: Nice shooting, kid, don’t get cocky. Instead, Rep. Al Green appears to be channeling Solo’s other advice: Never tell me the odds. In a floor speech, the Texas Democrat pledged to force a vote on his articles of impeachment for Donald Trump in time to drop the lump of coal in the president’s Christmas stocking (via The Hill):

The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) requested a personal meeting Friday with the FBI director over the department’s report that warned of the possible violence coming from “black identity extremists.”The caucus wants to meet with FBI Director Christopher Wray to talk about how the FBI conducted research on “black identity extremists” for its Aug. 3 report and what the FBI plans to do in light of the report, according to a letter from the caucus. The CBC argued that the report, “Black Identity Extremists Likely Motivated to Target Law Enforcement Officers,” only used a small sample of violent incidents against officers to...

Flipping through my TV channels, I stumbled upon the 2017 Congressional Black Caucus Annual Prayer Breakfast on the Word Network; the world's largest black religious channel. This year's theme was, "And Still I Rise". Folks, I thought, "Oh my gosh, these people have no shame." This breakfast was all about exploiting black's Christian heritage to deceive them for the purpose of furthering Leftists' anti-Christian agenda. Every musical performance praised Jesus. Leftists despise Jesus, aggressively seeking to ban the God of Christianity from the public square. Several of the all-Democrat speakers quoted the Bible to strengthen their political deceptions. The truth...

The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) on Wednesday rejected President Trump's invitation for the 49-member group to join him at the White House for a meeting, citing his unresponsiveness on previous attempts at policy engagement as proof that Trump isn't interested in working with the members beyond a photo op.

April Ryan, White House correspondent for American Urban Radio Networks, protested that she’s an old-fashioned reporter Thursday after President Donald Trump suggested that she could set up a meeting between himself and the Congressional Black Caucus.“No, no, no,” she said during the president’s news conference. “I’m just a reporter.”Interviewed later by CNN’s Brooke Baldwin, Ryan doubled down on the narrative.“I’m from the old school where we just report,” she said. “I’m not supposed to be the news.”And she tweeted: “I am a journalist not a convener! But thank you for answering my questions.”The veteran Washington journalist, however, appeared to a...

GOP-Hating Rep. John Lewis Didn’t Pay His Real Estate Taxes Instead of finding fault with the new president, maybe Rep. John Lewis should worry about paying his real estate taxes. The well-paid congressman didn’t pay taxes on his nearly $1 million posh D.C. townhouse on Capital Hill. Rep. Lewis said Donald Trump isn’t a “legitimate” president, same thing he said about George Bush, but he’s not a legitimate taxpayer. Public records show he avoided paying property taxes on his DC townhouse at 219 3rd Street SE on Capitol Hill, Got News reported. Click the link for Got News to see...

For almost eight years, the members of the Congressional Black Caucus existed in the shadow of the first black president. They praised President Barack Obama’s achievements while at the same time pushing him to do more for their constituents who overwhelmingly supported his history-making campaign and administration. But with Obama set to leave the White House on Jan. 20, black lawmakers in the House and Senate are recalculating and reassessing their place in Washington. And realizing they’re regaining the limelight as the most visible and powerful African-American politicians in the nation’s capital. President-elect Donald Trump will face a larger and...
