I have watched Fox News since 1998 and have seen alot of ups and downs with Bill O'Reilly, but tonight's talking points memo of "The Factor" were so full of falsehoods and misconceptions that I need the banglist gang to write in to this pinhead. O'Reilly's talking points was on the 2nd Amendment, Guns, and Murder. He generally made some good points on the purpose of the 2nd Amendment and the fact that gun control doesn't work. However he went WAY off the reservation and bought into the liberal journalist LIES of the misconceptions between legal, semi-automatic firearms, and their...

Two video clips via Real Clear Politics Video, both on CJ Roberts' ObamaCare decision. First, O'Reilly: Roberts' Ruling Is A "Conservative Decision"O'Reilly reviews the Supreme Court's ruling on President Obama's health care reform law. Subtitle: Should conservatives despise John Roberts? (Time: 6:10) Second, Mark Levin: "Roberts Threw The Door Wide Open On The Constitution"(Time: 6:07) "John Roberts threw the door wide open on the Constitution. Whatever clause he used, it really doesn’t matter to me — it’s all phony, it’s all written in invisible ink what he’s done and what others do to massively increase federal government’s power against you,"...

O'Reilly: "... How can you blame kids when they're dragged to the USA from wherever? If you're a fair person you can't. It's not the childs fault immigration laws are broken, it's the parents who did it; thus the new policy is humane..."

Earlier this week, I stated that it might make sense for the family of Trayvon Martin to get off of the media circuit. I saw no meaningful value in all of the television and radio appearances, since George Zimmerman has now been arrested and charged. At this stage in the game, the only individuals who benefit from additional media coverage are those who make a living by highlighting (and at times exploiting) grief-stricken mothers like Sybrina Fulton (the mother of Trayvon Martin). After seeing that Fulton was somehow advised to appear on “The O’Reilly Factor,” I’ve become deeply concerned that...

The Fox News mole, who has now been identified as (former) “O’Reilly Factor” associate producer Joe Muto, wrote three undercover posts for Gawker before Fox News fired him yesterday. Forbes’ Jeff Bercovici has details on Muto’s compensation from the website: Gawker’s John Cook tells me the gossip website paid Joe Muto $5,000 for his contributions as “The Fox Mole.” Muto, a former producer on “The O’Reilly Factor,” had intended to remain anonymous, but it took the network less than 24 hours to figure out where the leaks were coming from and have him escorted out. Muto may not have exposed...

That everyone in America now knows the names of Trayvon Davis and George Zimmerman is a tragic commentary on the times. It is tragic because it is a bold-faced confirmation that the Racism Industrial Complex (RIC) is the hegemonic power of our generation. The agents and officers of RIC include the majority of journalists and commentators in corporate media; most academics in the liberal arts and humanities departments of America’s colleges and universities; entertainers; and politicians. In concert, they labor fast and furiously to ensconce within the American consciousness the idea that blacks and other racial minorities are perpetual victims...

......The two-minute clip shows Hanks hosting the castaway-themed auction in a room decorated to look like a jungle at the £18,000-a-year St Matthew’s Parish School in Pacific Palisades, California. As the blacked-up man takes the stage, Hanks quips that the Right-wing US commentator Bill O’Reilly, who has himself often been accused of racial insensitivity, has arrived....... ..........Hanks, who starred in the 2000 Hollywood film Castaway, recently narrated a 17-minute campaign video calling for President Barack Obama’s re-election. In response to the auction video, Niger Innis, of the Congress of Racial Equality, said: “I call upon President Obama, who has Tom...

"Bill O’Reilly, host of “The O’Reilly Factor” on Fox News Channel, took issue Thursday with the tactics of the conservative Media Research Center’s call for the firing of Ed Schultz, host of MSNBC’s “The Ed Show”. MRC president Brent Bozell had spelled that call out in a letter to MSNBC president Phil Griffin earlier this week and had threatened to take his “message directly to the shareholders of Comcast.” O’Reilly noted this and was sympathetic to the MRC’s cause. “Now some Americans are calling for firings, boycotts and in one absurd case, criminal prosecution, for speech that they don’t like,”...

On his program, Fox News Channel’s Bill O’Reilly found yet another connection between Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke and the Democratic Party. Fluke, a so-called contraceptive advocate, rose to prominence after conservative talker Rush Limbaugh called her a ‘slut’ and a ‘prostitute’ on his radio show. On Thursday, O’Reilly reported that Fluke was being represented by Anita Dunn’s public relations firm SKDKnickerbocker. Dunn, a former adviser to President Barack Obama, served as White House Communications Director in 2009.. O’Reilly found on Friday that Fluke is also dating the son of “Democratic stalwart” William Mutterperl, who has made numerous donations to...

Arpaio on Obama's birth certificate "Bill explains to a BillOReilly.com Premium Member why he hasn't bothered to report on Arizona Sheriff Arpaio's assertion that President Obama's birth certificate is allegedly a forgery in this excerpt from our Backstage Conversation webcast." Transcript: Bill O'Reilly- "Erin, Bentonville, Arkansas: Why do you ignore Sheriff Arpaio's assertion that President Obama's birth certificate is a forgery? Well, Because Sheriff Arpaio has not presented any hard evidence to back up his assertion. Secondly, I am very busy. I looked into the birth certificate myself and found out there were two separate birth announcements made in Honolulu...

The media have no bleepin' clue how to cover the death of Whitney Houston. That's because she was slowly dying for years and many in the press simply averted their eyes. It was ultra-disturbing that a beautiful woman blessed with an extraordinary singing voice chose a self-destructive path in full view of the world. I mean, here is a person who signed a $100 million recording contract, actually sold 170 million albums and commanded high six figures to deliver a 90-minute concert. Houston was a genuine international star, and yet she often was seen in public disheveled and confused, her...

Fox News’s Greg Gutfeld tackled the often vexing world of prime time on Tuesday when he tried to fill some big shoes hosting Fox News’s top-ranked show The O’Reilly Factor. It was an equal-parts bold and odd choice, putting the network’s oft-times unpredictable, distinctly snarky and libertarian-minded funnyman as replacement host of the Fox News flagship program. But would Gutfeld measure as O’Reilly’s FNC tent-pole? Gutfeld handled the reins of hosting The Factor with aplomb, putting his quick-hit comedic commentary aside just enough to fit in on O’Reilly’s self-described “traditionalist” program. At several points during last night’s show, the Red...

Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly gets a lot of flak for taking note of the “war on Christmas.” But he’s absolutely right: There has been a concerted effort, by anti-religious secularists and God-haters, to deprecate the cultural significance of Christmas. And, unfortunately, they’ve been very successful. Why, walk into any store in any large metro area (New York, Chicago, L.A., D.C., et al.), or any governmental complex, and you’ll rarely, if ever, hear someone say, “Merry Christmas.” Those words are now taboo. “Happy Holidays” is all the rage, and the implication is clear: Christmas is nothing special; it’s just another holiday,...

A few months ago in this space, I wrote a column about the cultural phenom Lady Gaga that ended with my politely telling her to save her money. That's because the treacherous world of popular culture is not usually a long-term proposition. Entertainment idols often pass through the fame obstacle course very quickly. In show biz, "jumping the shark" is a term used to describe a project in decline. It is derived from the hit sitcom "Happy Days," which, sorely lacking for material after years on the air, featured a show whereby The Fonz went waterskiing in a leather jacket...

Good Morning, Barack! With his poll numbers dropping like dissidents in Syria, President Barack Obama has to be hoping the national media will continue to help him out. Last time around, the network news organizations swooned over the junior senator from Illinois and marginalized his opponent, Sen. John McCain, as much as possible. According to a new study by the conservative Media Research Center, the president has some reason to be optimistic about the media in 2012. The group examined the morning shows on ABC, CBS and NBC in order to ascertain campaign attitudes. The headlines are these: -- So...

Bill O’Reilly’s ‘Lincoln’ Book Banned From Ford’s Theatre Because Of ‘Mistakes’ By Steven Levingston November 12 Of all the places you’d expect to find Bill O’Reilly’s new history “Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination That Changed America Forever,” Ford’s Theatre — the site of the dreadful act — should rank right at the top. But you’d do better to search for the bestseller on Amazon because it has been banned from the theater’s store. The crime? O’Reilly and his co-author Martin Dugard have displayed a serial disregard for historical fact. For a purported history of the assassination — an “unsanitized and...

On Tuesday, about 1,000 protesters gathered in Oakland, California, and major concerns began to arise. There was a rat problem, vandalism, fights, and fire hazards. Medical responders were denied access to the protest site on two occasions. So the city of Oakland decided to move the protesters and police did that. But later on that day some of the occupiers tried to return to the plaza outside city hall. Police told them they could not return and violence broke out. At least 200 arrests were made. Scores of people injured, including a number of police officers. Property was destroyed. And...

In November of 2010 in Don’t be VAT stupid Herman Cain writes: ``A national retail sales tax on top of all the confusing and unfair taxes we have today is insane! It gives the out-of-control bureaucrats and politicians in denial one more tool to lie, deceive, manipulate and destroy this country.`` The fact is, Herman is now proposing a new tax, a national retail sales tax, in addition to taxing corporate profits and incomes, and also would tax the wages working people earn. Herman Cain essentially admitted in the above mentioned article his existing plan is ``insane!`` So, why do...

Whaddya do when someone sends you two boxes of Bill O'Reilly's book, "Pinheads and Patriots"? You burn them. No, it wasn't the Occupy Wall Street crowd. It was a bunch of soldiers in Afghanistan. The unnamed soldier who tells the tale goes by the name Everqueer on Tumblr, where, for the most part, he posts on the stuff that people post on Tumblr: what they're reading, stuff he's listening to, with occasional dispatches from life in Afghanistan, like this photo of warming up for baseball and a weather report. But three days ago he posted a photo of the books...

Keith Olbermann is not in the witness protection program, but he might as well be. His show on Al Gore’s Current TV (America’s least watched network) has lost nearly a third of its viewers in four months. Pretty impressive result for $10 million a year. That’s just his salary. Countdown with Keith Olbermann was a major draw when it was on MSNBC. On January 21, the network took a big hit when Olbermann announced on air that that would be his last show for them. Then in June, Current launched Olbermann and Countdown. It was no surprise that Olbermann drew...
