A brazen shoplifter was caught on video stuffing items into a garbage bag inside a San Francisco Walgreens and then pedaling off on his bike — in front of a security guard who simply recorded the theft on his phone. The shocking footage, posted on Twitter by KGO-TV reporter Lyanne Melendez, shows the unidentified thief filling up on stolen goods as two people — one apparently a security guard — stand in the aisle with their phones out. The crook then hops on his bike and pedals past the pair, with the guard making a failed attempt to grab the...

Naked Philadelphia bikers need only bring their masks. Participants in the annual Philly Naked Bike Ride can ditch their clothes to ride as long as they follow the Aug. 28 event’s mask guidance, which was put in place before the city this week lifted most of its coronavirus restrictions. Organizers said they haven’t met since the city updated its guidance, so for now, they’re “going to stick with our initial mask guidance.” The 10-mile ride, which was canceled last year due to the pandemic, has been promoted this year as the “mask edition.”

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia bike riders won’t need their shirts, pants, skirts or even underwear - just a mask. Organizers of the annual Philly Naked Bike Ride say this year’s event will take place Aug. 28 and will require masks, based on the city’s earlier coronavirus restrictions. The city lifted most of its COVID-19 rules this week, citing an increase in vaccinations and a decrease in cases. But ride organizers said they hadn’t had a chance to chat since the city’s guidelines changed so for the time being, they’re “going to stick with our initial mask guidance.” Lead organizer Wesley Noonan-Sessa...

I don't know how many of you are into biking, but those of us who are, I thought I would show a neat product for the casual bicyclist. It's an electrical conversion for nearly any standard bicycle. It gives enough power to equate to leg power for about an hour. It's meant for those who wouldn't mind biking for up to an hour in one direction before needing to recharge it. I just think it's a neat niche product.

The inauguration is now just days away and officials around the country are pulling out all the security stops. But worries kept Washington very much on edge Monday, and the FBI and National Guard are vetting those who are securing Washington, D.C. for ties to extremism. For a moment, the drill became reality. This morning, soldiers and law enforcement practicing inauguration security suddenly sheltered for fear of attack. It turned out the threat was this nearby fire, which was quickly extinguished. But it shows the tension in Washington, D.C., ahead of Wednesday’s inauguration. Thousands of National Guard soldiers continue to...
