This year’s ‘Philly Naked Bike Ride’ requires a face mask and nothing else

Naked Philadelphia bikers need only bring their masks.

Participants in the annual Philly Naked Bike Ride can ditch their clothes to ride as long as they follow the Aug. 28 event’s mask guidance, which was put in place before the city this week lifted most of its coronavirus restrictions.

Organizers said they haven’t met since the city updated its guidance, so for now, they’re “going to stick with our initial mask guidance.”

The 10-mile ride, which was canceled last year due to the pandemic, has been promoted this year as the “mask edition.”

Having no problem with being naked together at public pool or gym locker & showering areas is enough of “not being ashamed of your body”. More than that it’s some sort of “showing off”, but in many cases some would be better off NOT “showing off”.

I cannot fathom the consequences of riding a bike that long with nothing to protect me from chafing or abrasion of the bike seat.
