Former Attorney General Bill Barr said Wednesday on Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom” that he will support Donald Trump in November. Barr said, “The real threat to liberty, the real threat to our system, are the excesses of the progressive left. They are perverting the system of justice and that’s where the danger lies. The corruption and subversion of our institutions by the left.” Co-host Bill Hemmer said, “I heard you call this hush money case outrageous. I also know you’ve been asked many times and had disagreements with the former president. He is the presumptive nominee and we assume...

Former Attorney General William Barr has not been kind to Donald Trump since he left his post at the Justice Department. He opposed the former president’s actions after the 2020 election and has said that Trump's returning to the White House would be a chaotic “horror show.” He’s also called for the former president to be replaced as the leader of the Republican Party, warning he would burn the house down if he remains as the face of the GOP. But a lot can change in a year or two. According to Axios' Mike Allen, with Joe Biden and Trump...

Former Attorney General Bill Barr said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that he was willing to testify against former President Donald Trump at his January 6 trial. Anchor Major Garrett asked, “Were you interviewed by the special counsel?” Barr said, “I’m not going to go into that.” Would you appear as a witness if called?” Barr said, “Of course.” Garrett said, “One of those associated with Trump’s defense team has said, if you were called as a witness, they would cross-examine you and pierce all of that by asking you questions that you couldn’t, to their mind, credibly answer...

Former Attorney General William Barr believes the Justice Department has a “legitimate case” in the latest indictment against former President Donald Trump, who is accused of spreading lies about widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election. In a Wednesday night interview on CNN, Barr, who served a stint as the nation’s chief law enforcement under Trump, also said he has grown to believe that Trump has always known that he legitimately lost his White House reelection bid. “As a legal matter I don’t see a problem with the indictment,” Barr told “The Source” host Kaitlan Collins. “I think that it’s...

Former Attorney General Bill Barr pushed back on former President Trump’s characterization of the special counsel’s documents probe as politically motivated and said he thinks the public eventually will come to realize the former president’s culpability. “Over time, people will see that this is not a case of the Department of Justice conducting a witch hunt,” Barr said in an interview on CBS Tuesday. “In fact, they approached this very delicately and with deference to the president, and this would have gone nowhere had the president just returned the documents. But he jerked them around for a year and a...

Former Attorney General Bill Barr said Thursday on “CBS Evening News” he believed former President Donald Trump “had no business” keeping classified documents at his Florida home. Barr said, “I’ve said all along of the cases out there right now the one I would be most concerned about if I were the former president is the Mar-a-Lago document case.” Senior investigative correspondent Catherine Herridge asked, “Why so?”

Former Attorney General Bill Barr said Friday that former President Donald Trump's presidency would be a "horror show" if he were re-elected because his former boss lacks the "discipline" as well as the "ability for strategic thinking" needed to get things done. "It is a horror show, you know, when… he's left to his own devices," Barr said in remarks at the City Club of Cleveland in Ohio on Friday. "If you believe in his policies, what he's advertising is his policies, he's the last person who could actually execute them and achieve them," Barr said to a reporter who...

On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” former Attorney General Bill Barr stated that “the main danger to our democracy, frankly, is the sort of radical progressive movement” and that free public discourse is under attack in a way that “on a daily basis makes the McCarthy era look like child’s play.” Barr said, “[W]hen confronted with the question, if Trump is the party’s nominee and he’s running against Biden, who would you vote for? And I say it’s hard for me to see — I just find it hard to believe that I could vote against the Republican nominee...

Former Attorney General Bill Barr said Friday on PBS’s “Firing Line” that the Department of Justice seems to “have the basis for legitimately indicting” former President Donald Trump. Partial transcript as follows: BARR: If a former president commits a crime, you know, especially a serious crime, they should be indicted for it. If the Department of Justice can show that these were indeed very sensitive documents, which I think they probably were, and also show that the president consciously was involved in misleading the department, deceiving the government, and playing games after he had received the subpoena for the documents,...

Former Attorney General Bill Barr said Wednesday on FNC’s “America Reports” that New York State Attorney General Letitia James’s lawsuit against former President Donald Trump and his adult children was a “political hit job.” Barr said, “It’s hard for me not to conclude it’s a political hit job. This is a woman who campaigned for office promising she was going to go after Trump, which I think is a tremendous abuse of office to go headhunting and targeting individuals. So I think she was targeting Trump.”

I have to laugh, America. Because never before has Bill Barr been in such demand by any network. Now he's everywhere like a bad rash. Of course I wouldn't know that. But that said, he's everywhere and his pearls of wisdom. Wow. It's amazing to me, we have Republicans on television saying, like our "friend" Karl Rove and others, well now :we have to stop focusing on Trump, we have to get to the issues." Then we have Bill Barr who is from that wing of the Republican party all over the place not to talk about the corrupt Department...

Former Attorney General Bill Barr said Wednesday on FNC’s “America’s Newsroom” that the fact that the FBI found former President Donald Trump’s passports with classified documents during the raid at Mar-a-Lago is evidence that “ties Trump to those documents.”Barr said, “You don’t go into someone’s house and look document by document. You take what you think will be responsive, and then you sort it out through a taint team. No one disputes that goes back, OK? The classified stuff are government documents, and they go to the government. There is no scenario legally under which the president gets to keep...

Former attorney general William Barr during an interview on Fox News last week said that if Trump did indeed have a standing order to declassify all documents that he took with him as he left the White House, that would amount to a worse abuse than actually taking the documents.Barr said the following:I can't think of a legitimate reason why they should have been could be taken out of the government, away from the government if they're classified. I frankly am skeptical of this claim that "I declassified everything," you know. If, in fact, he sort of stood over scores of...

The claim by former President Donald Trump that he declassified the documents with classified markings found at Mar-a-Lago was challenged Sept. 2 as “highly improbable” by former Attorney General William Barr. “I can’t think of a legitimate reason why they could be taken out of the government, away from the government, if they’re classified,” who was attorney general during the Trump and George H.W. Bush administrations, said during an appearance on Fox News. “I frankly am skeptical of this claim that ‘I declassified everything,’ because, frankly, I think it’s highly improbable and second, if in fact, he stood over scores...

The legal fight between former President Donald Trump and the Department of Justice escalated Friday morning when the DOJ released a detailed inventory of the documents seized in last month's Mar-a-Lago raid. The inventory list comes following an order from Florida Federal Judge Aileen M. Cannon, who is deciding whether to appoint a "special master" to the case. On "America Reports" on Friday, former Attorney General Bill Barr criticized Trump's push for a "special master" as a distraction from the details of the case and argued it is not likely to be granted.

Bill Barr appeared on Fox News today and what he had to say is already trending on Twitter. The whole interview doesn’t appear to be on YouTube yet but Justin Baragona from the Daily Beast has posted it in segments on Twitter. First up, Barr was asked about the pending decision to appoint a special master to review the seized documents. Barr did allow that any private communications between Trump and his attorney need to be sorted out but said he mostly saw it as a “red herring” since it appears the documents have already been reviewed by the DOJ....
