Five people — ages 17, 24, 23, 26 and 55 — were shot Tuesday afternoon in West Baltimore, police said. The group was standing in the 300 block of N. Payson St. near Lockerman Bundy Elementary School in the Penrose neighborhood when a gunman came around the corner on foot and opened fire about 3:40 p.m., police said. BALTIMORE —City police said of 27 people who were shot, at least eight of them were killed in a series of separate shooting in Baltimore since Friday afternoon. In the most recent events, officers were called to the 1600 block of Hazel Street around 10:30 p.m. Sunday for a report of discharging of a firearm. While investigating, police were notified of a walk-in shooting victim to an area hospital. The man at the hospital sustained a gunshot wound to his buttocks.
