During Wednesday’s edition of CNN Tonight, host Don Lemon played a clip of Representative Ron DeSantis, Republican nominee in the Florida gubernatorial election, saying “the last thing we need to do is monkey this up by trying to embrace a socialist agenda with huge tax increases and bankrupting the state” during an interview with Fox News. Lemon asked: “Does anybody else hear that dog whistle? It’s kind of a bullhorn.” If "monkey" is imagined as dehumanizing, then what kind of metaphor is "dog whistle"? Aren't you suggesting conservative voters are dogs?

Sunday, Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), the GOP Florida gubernatorial nominee, discussed his Democratic opponent Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum and predicted the far-left candidate for governor would turn the Sunshine State into Venezuela if elected. “This Andrew Gillum, he is on the far-left socialist fringe. He’s a Bernie Sanders, Ocasio-Cortez-type of candidate. He wants to raise taxes in Florida 40 percent, he wants a single-payer healthcare system in Florida, which would bankrupt the state, he wants to abolish ICE and doesn’t believe in doing any type of immigration enforcement,” DeSantis told New York AM 970 radio “The Cats Roundtable” host John...

Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum (D) said Sunday that he would increase taxes on corporations in the state to help fund his plan to provide Medicare for all. Gillum was pressed on CNN's "State of the Union" about his pledge to provide medical care for everyone in his state, including how he would pay for it. "I don’t buy that," Gillum said when asked if higher taxes are a prerequisite of Medicare for all. "I will absolutely not raise taxes on everyday working Floridians."
  • Using The Word 'Monkey' Is Racist...Unless You're A Leftist

Gubernatorial Candidate Ron DeSantis said that Floridians shouldn't "monkey it up" by electing a socialist candidate and his policies. As is common with the left, they decided that the word "monkey" must describe the race of DeSantis' opponent and they labeled him a racist. So what does it mean that the left uses the word very, very frequently.

In Florida, Andrew Gillum has accused his competitor Ron DeSantis of playing “a little bit of a race card.” It should be noted that DeSantis’ was merely using a figure of speech, saying the FL voters shouldn’t “monkey this up by enacting a socialist agenda with huge tax increases.” If this is the epitome of racism, then these Democratic Party leaders have some explaining to do… This clip includes: Dick Durbin Jay Carney Josh Ernest Angus King Chuck Schumer Mike McCurry John Kerry Robert Byrd Bernie Sanders Adam Schiff Brian Roberts Barack Obama

Former Republican National Committee Chair Michael Steele ripped Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) for urging Florida voters not to “monkey this up” by voting for his Democratic gubernatorial opponent, Andrew Gillum, who is African-American. “… It’s how white folks talk about black men who are successful,” Steele said on MSNBC’s “Meet the Press.” Steele also criticized DeSantis for calling Gillum “articulate.” “I heard that he’s ‘articulate,’ that ‘he performs well,’ … he’s checking off those boxes. Why do you have to describe him that way?” he said. "Doesn’t happen to a lot of white candidates," he added, echoing host Chuck Todd's...

Let's face it. Black politics post-Obama has black leftists in uproar. They don't consider black conservatives like Clarence Thomas, Jim Brown, Candace Owens, Colin Noir, Boyd Rutherford, Jeanean Hampton etc. as real black people because they are not liberals. Black conservatives don't matter to them. That's why John James (MI) is not in the news. He's not "a true brotha". Barack Obama is no longer relevant nationally and black leftists need momentum. LeBron and Kaepernick can't save the Left. Do you really think Stacey Abrams and Andrew Gillum can win in the fall?

Tuesday’s primaries show there’s no doubt the Democratic Party is lurching to the left. The last time Florida Democrats won the state’s governorship was in 1994. With GOP Gov. Rick Scott leaving office to run for U.S. Senate, Democratic Party leaders were determined to nominate a candidate who could appeal to centrists. They recruited former U.S. Rep. Gwen Graham, the daughter of a popular former governor and U.S. senator, who had won support from business in the past. But in a major upset, Graham lost the gubernatorial primary to Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, who had the endorsement of Bernie Sanders...

Democrat Radical Progressive, Andrew Gillum now the Democrat Candidate running for Governor of Florida against, Republican, Conservative Ron DeSantis could destroy the Democrat Party in the state of Florida. I doubt very much that the overwhelming number of voters (ALL) in the state of Florida will take kindly to the politics and agenda of Democrat, Andrew Gillum. The Democrats that chose him in their primary have made a politically unwise choice. Mr Gillun, on Election Day Tuesday, November 6, 2018 will be widely and massively rejected by the good voters of Florida!!!
  • It's Socialism vs. Trump after Massive Turnout In Florida’s Tuesday Primary

    08/29/2018 8:50:10 AM PDT · by Liberty7732 · 30 replies
Florida is the largest swing state in the union and possibly the most demographically representative with transplants from the Northeast and Midwest, along with natives of the South. Plus it’s the third largest state after California and Texas, which are not as representative. That makes the results of Tuesday’s primaries so intriguing to the tea-leaf reading set. In this case we can see some real actual trends, because it is not just one special election that both sides were trying to make into a national referendum — it’s a mini three-quarters of America. One big takeaway: The establishment, “centrist” portions...

Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum won the Democrat primary for governor in Florida on Tuesday. (Photo: Screen capture/YouTube) (CNSNews.com) - President Trump on Wednesday congratulated Republican Rep. Ron DeSantis for winning his party's gubernatorial primary in Florida, but Trump slammed the Democrat primary winner, Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, as a "failed socialist." Trump's comments came shortly after CNN interviewed Gillum, asking him if he thinks Trump should be impeached. "I absolutely do," Gillum replied. "I think he's already incriminated himself by interfering with the Department of Justice, firing Jim Comey of whom I'm no fan of, but basically obstructing justice....

WASHINGTON — Setting up an explosive general election battle, a Donald Trump-backed Republican and a Bernie Sanders-endorsed insurgent Democrat who prevailed in an upset will face off in the Florida governor race following primaries Tuesday night, NBC News projects. In a surprise win, Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, a black progressive who never led in a major poll, edged out former Rep. Gwen Graham, the politically moderate daughter of popular former governor and senator Bob Graham, in the Democratic primary. Gillum had 34.2 percent, or 510,450 votes, to Graham's 31.4 percent, or 468,448 votes, with 96 percent of precincts reporting. For...
