I believe in spreading my charitable donations around, and since I've already contributed this year to the Red Cross (Katrina), World Vision (tsunami), CARE, et cetera, I was considering giving to Americares for the Asian quake victims. But I won't support leftie groups like UNICEF, which promotes/subsidizes abortion in the third world, or Oxfam, which touts "social justice" (i.e., socialism). I checked out Americares website, and while I wasn't thrilled by the Margaret Mead quote in their annual report, I couldn't find anything objectionable in their philosophy. Does anyone know if they're okay, or can you suggest a better recipient?
