As Donald Rumsfeld might have put it, “You go with the nominee you have, not with the nominee you might want.” Based on the speech she delivered Thursday night—the biggest of her life—Hillary Clinton and her campaign have decided that she will win or lose based on the strengths and weaknesses that have characterized her for decades. In the end, Clinton failed to transcend that issue. You, the voters, she seemed to say, simply have to accept me as I am in all my pedestrian earnestness—especially if the choice is between me and Donald Trump. The question leading up to...

A moment's silence for slain police officers was interrupted by chants of 'Black Lives Matter' during the Democratic convention. Dallas Sheriff Lupe Valdez was on stage paying a stirring tribute to the 5 officers gunned down in her city on July 7. She then asked the crowd to remember all officers who had fallen in the line of duty and said, 'Please help me to honor ALL of America's fallen officers with a moment of silence.' Then members of the crowd shouted the controversial slogan, and it was heard all around Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center.

Of all the metaphors he might have picked to praise Hillary Clinton, Joe Scarborough chose the most unfortunate one: that of “brain surgeon.” Because to many people, Hillary brings to mind none other than Nurse Ratched, that cold and domineering figure who subjected one of her charges who wouldn’t fall in line to . . . a lobotomy. On today’s Morning Joe, Scarborough actually said “why don’t we try actually hiring a brain surgeon who’s been operating on brains instead of chopping down trees for the past 30 years?” Scarborough put the words in the mouths of Hillary supporters he...

Observers of Hillary Clinton over the past six months or so will have noticed an incessant coughing and clearing of her throat that has plagued the former first lady across that time frame. During her headline speech on Thursday at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, Clinton noticeably cleared her throat twenty-two times. In and of itself, it could be written off as temporarily being under the weather. Given its persistence, however, questions arise about the Democrats' presidential nominee. She seemed to have deliberately timed her throat clearing during manufactured applause directed by her audience managers. Watch a montage of...

TRUMP CAMPAIGN STATEMENT ON CLINTON'S ACCEPTANCE SPEECH Hillary Clinton’s speech was an insulting collection of clichés and recycled rhetoric. She spent the evening talking down to the American people she’s looked down on her whole life. Hillary Clinton talks about unity, about E Pluribus Unum, but her globalist agenda denies American citizens the protections to which they are all entitled – tearing us apart. Her radical amnesty plan will take jobs, resources and benefits from the most vulnerable citizens of the United States and give them to the citizens of other countries. Her refusal to even say the words ‘Radical...

The Military Times is a Gannett rag, therefore we cannot excerpt them ... link only. Gist of article: The Rats had a tribute to vets last night ... they showed four ships on the big screen ... from the Russian Navy ... their military genius minds couldn't tell the difference.

This is the night Hillary Clinton has been waiting for her entire life. This is the night where she has her latest and best chance to make her case to undecided voters, clarify her vision for America, and cut into her massively high unfavorable ratings. Finally, the attention at the Democratic convention and in the news media will be on her, her message, and not just endorsements and speeches from powerful allies like Mike Bloomberg and President Barack Obama. Good luck with that. We already know who's going to dominate the headlines tomorrow morning in the end. And he happens...

Who wore it better? Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke couldn't resist pointing out a fashion detail of Hillary Clinton's outfit in her speech at the Democratic National Convention Thursday. Clarke tweeted a picture of the Democratic presidential nominee side-by-side with one of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. "Kim Jong Un models outfit he designed for Mrs. Bill Clinton's Democrat convention speech. Short sleeve version," read the caption.

Insiders: Hillary's speech was a winner “The narrative of division is bogus. The hecklers were never Democrats to begin with,” said an Iowa Democrat. By Steven Shepard 07/29/16 05:20 AM EDT PHILADELPHIA — Hillary Clinton’s acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention helped to ease party insiders’ anxiety after a week in which Donald Trump rode a modest bounce from the GOP convention into a neck-and-neck race with Clinton in the general election. That’s according to The POLITICO Caucus — a panel of activists, strategists and operatives in 11 key battleground states. Three quarters of Democratic insiders said following Clinton’s...

When is Hillary Clinton going to hold that long-awaited news conference — the first of 2016? Whenever she feels like it. This has always been true, of course. The media can't force her into one. But the Democratic presidential nominee's campaign hasn't been quite so blunt about it. Until now. "We'll have a press conference when we want to have a press conference," Clinton pollster Joel Benenson said on ABC News on Thursday evening.

Well, Hillary Clinton took the stage after four days of Democratic triumph — the party staged what was even to these conservative eyes and ears the best, tightest, most interesting convention of our time — and pretty much stunk up the joint.

Though I would laugh long and hard if her numbers went down, I suspect a 3-4 pt bounce.

Hillary Clinton formally accepted the Democratic Party’s nomination for president Thursday night, delivering a speech in which she said that the nation is in a “moment of reckoning” and aggressively cast Republican nominee Donald Trump as a divisive figure stoking fear across the country. “He wants to divide us from the rest of the world, and from each other,” Clinton said. “He’s betting that the perils of today’s world will blind us to its unlimited promise.”

Now that FOX News is under a new, more liberal management, has it begun to show signs of a drift in reporting. For the second consecutive day, Carl Cameron has been far too critical of Donald Trump. DT said on one occasion that he didn't really know Putin. On another occasion DT said they met briefly in the 60 minutes green room. Cameron makes this a near scandal saying that it's a discrepancy that the Trump team simply must clarify. This is such a petty thing; I expect more from FOX News.
