While checking in for my flight this morning in Nashville, TN I saw a man, (light skinned, bald, 5'7", 220lbs) taking photographs of the people standing in line at the airline ticket counter and then walking over to where he could see people standing in line waiting to have their ID and boarding passes checked at the first TSA station and taking a couple more pictures. Red flags and bells went off in my head like crazy. The guy wasn't taking pictures like you would take pictures of your family standing in line. No, he wasn't looking to get vacation...

-and see if you're any better than the average idiot! This is a terrific test, albeit a couple months dated... very enlightening. But not in a good way... the pitiful results betray the fact that a solid majority of Americans have absolutely no idea what's going on in this country. 80% of the voting public doesn't have a clue- and got less than half right! This goes some ways towards explaining how a shady post-turtle like Barack Obama found his way into the Oval Office- and how the public can continue to be so easily manipulated by the thoroughly-discredited MSM hacks that...

Inquiring minds are laughing at the bureaucrats…mostly made up of those ‘highly intellectual’ Leftist/Progressive/Socialist types. The Intercollegiate Studies Institute has been conducting a national survey for the last 5 years. Remember how The Left derided the thought of reciting the US Consitution before 112th Congress began work? When the Republican House leadership decided to start the 112th Congress with a reading of the U.S. Constitution, the decision raised complaints in some quarters that it was little more than a political stunt. The New York Times even called it a “presumptuous and self-righteous act.” That might be true, if you could...

Fayetteville, NC --(Ammoland.com)- If you’re like me, you’ve been following the HK45 endurance test over at Pistol-Training.com. The test finally concluded at 50,000 rounds and I was honored to fire the 50,000th round through the gun that I helped bring into existence. As expected, the gun passed the test with flying colors and amazingly experienced only a couple of minor problems… all while going 10,000 rounds between cleanings! Thanks to Todd for letting me shoot the 50,000th round!
  • US missile intercept test fails

VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- An interceptor missile launched from California on Wednesday failed to hit a target fired from a Pacific atoll 4,000 miles away during a test of an anti-ballistic missile defense system, the Air Force announced. The missile, called a ground-based interceptor, lifted off from coastal Vandenberg Air Force Base at 12:03 a.m. and released a device called an Exoatmospheric Kill Vehicle, or EKV, that was to plow into a target missile fired from the Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. The interceptor's sensors worked and the EKV was deployed, but it missed, according to a...

(CNSNews.com) - American journalism is in "grave peril," FCC Commissioner Michael Copps says, and to bolster "traditional media," he said the Federal Communications Commission should conduct a "public value test" of every commercial broadcast station at relicensing time. In a speech at the Columbia University School of Journalism in New York on Thursday, Copps also said station relicensing should happen every four years instead of the current eight. "If a station passes the Public Value Test, it of course keeps the license it has earned to use the people’s airwaves," Copps said. "If not, it goes on probation for a...

(Reuters) - If President Barack Obama is not yet convinced that his international star power has faded, his next round of transatlantic summitry should clear up any lingering doubts. Coming off a marathon Asia trip where Obama often found himself rebuffed by fellow world leaders, he will head to Europe this week where the agenda will be clouded by a growing divide over economic strategy and a sense of neglect among traditional U.S. allies. His challenge is to reassure European partners that, despite political weakness at home and embarrassing setbacks abroad, he remains committed to better cooperation on issues ranging from...
  • Test Your Knowledge of the Book of Mormon

In 1841 Joseph Smith declared that the Book of Mormon was "the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts than by any other book" (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pg. 194). In light of such a fantastic claim, it behooves an individual to take a serious look at the precepts found in the Book of Mormon. Take a few moments and test your knowledge of what Joseph Smith also called the "most correct book of earth." 1._______ Where in the Book of Mormon does it teach that Elohim (God...

Welcome to America where there's an incessant whine about testing... Okay, this piece is not deep, but some may find it amusing. One of those easy-tests that kids should know all the answers to. But we fear that many won't. Because lots of public schools would rather be struck by a tornado than teach a fact.

Fifty years ago, in the midst of his presidential campaign against Richard Nixon, Sen. John F. Kennedy gave a speech to ease voters' concerns about his Catholic faith. Speaking in Houston, Kennedy emphasized that Article VI of the Constitution maintains that no "religious test" may keep a candidate from aspiring to political office. He went further, implying that his Catholicism should be off limits to public scrutiny. To treat a politician's religious beliefs as politically relevant was an affront to America's noblest civic traditions, he declared.

IMO this test should be brought back and not only for 8th graders, but should be mandatory for anyone to pass prior to being registered to vote! Nevertheless, this definitely answers the question why so many of our children are clueless, and so many of us seasoned citizens actually do have a functioning knowledge of how our govt is supposed to work.

    - This fall, a Republican is almost guaranteed to win in Utah's Senate race. But will the pick of self-styled true conservatives win the Republican primary on June 22? Groups like the Senate Conservatives Fund and FreedomWorks have endorsed attorney Mike Lee in the race. He's up against businessman Tim Bridgewater and the two agree on many issues. But such groups like Lee's knowledge of the Constitution and worry about Bridgewater's commitment to limited government, saying he supported subsidizing drug costs for Medicare. Lee has an uphill climb in the primary and may be the latest candidate to underscore the...

India's missile shield test fails: officials Mon Mar 15, 7:37 am ET BHUBANESWAR, India (AFP) – India's homegrown interceptor defence shield developed to detect and destroy incoming ballistic missiles failed during a test on Monday, military officials said. The test was abandoned when the radars following the target, a nuclear-capable missile, lost track of it after it blasted off from a site 200 kilometres (120 miles) from Bhubaneswar in eastern India. "The 'hostile' missile went off the radars after it took off and deviated from its trajectory and so the interceptor was not launched," an official from Defence Research and...
