CHRISTMAS BIBLE-ART EPISODE #16 of 33 IT’S A BOY! L U K E CHAPTER 2 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to his own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be...

Modern Christianity often treats “niceness” as its highest virtue and “offending” as its worst. The American church is far too often shaped by this creed. Yet the Gospels paint a far different picture of Jesus. He was loving, compassionate, and merciful, yes — but He was also unapologetically offensive when truth required it. When we avoid speaking hard truths for the sake of being liked or preserving a shallow sense of “peace,” we slip into spiritual complacency, apathy, and lukewarmness — all things Jesus rebuked. The American church has developed an aversion to tackling tough cultural issues that are, at...

I often write about the folly of attempting, through a myriad of government mandates and subsidies, to compel the replacement of our electricity system with one powered by the wind and sun. You may think it would be impossible to come up with any public policy that is worse than that one of a forced energy system transformation. And yet, the Manhattan Contrarian designee for “worst possible public policy” has gone to something else. That something else is the building of what they call “affordable housing” on some of the world’s most expensive real estate here in Manhattan. The term...

Criminals never cease to amaze. A Florida man who was a bell ringer for the Salvation Army for the Christmas season was arrested this past week for allegedly trying to impale the store manager of a grocery store with the tripod to the donation kettle, according to law enforcement. Steven Pavlik, 63, was found at his home and arrested. He was charged with resisting arrest and aggravated assault. The alleged victim was the store manager at Publix in Stuart, Florida. Fox News reported: A Florida man working as a Salvation Army bell ringer for the holidays was arrested Christmas week...

KHAN YOUNIS, Gaza Strip (AP) — Rain lashed the Gaza Strip over the weekend, flooding makeshift encampments with ankle-deep puddles as Palestinians displaced by the two-year war attempted to stay dry in tents frayed by months of use. Muddy water soaked blankets and mattresses in tents in a camp in Khan Younis and fragile shelters were propped up with old pieces of wood. Children wearing flip-flops and light clothing ill-suited for winter waded through the freezing puddles, which turned dirt roads into rivers. Some people used shovels to try to push the water out of their tents. “We drowned last...

Peak oil once struck fear into policymakers, businesses and consumers as a looming moment when the world might suck the last drops of black gold from the ground, like a straw reaching the bottom of a milkshake. The idea was popularized in the 1950s by geologist M. King Hubbert, who warned that US oil production would follow a bell‑shaped curve and eventually hit an unavoidable peak as fields matured and declined. Climate change has flipped the narrative. Instead of the fear of scarcity, the debate now centers on when demand will finally peak as the shift to electric vehicles (EV)...

Rob Reiner lived his politics, we can say that much about him at least. As more time passes, more comes out about how the Reiner household actually ran … a bit like Portland, Oregon; from what I can tell … except, rich … and with at least one highly successful citizen. The Reiner household had all the much sought-after liberal social programs the blue state governors want most … in a platinum encrusted, limited edition, home version of the game. Universal Basic Income (check): Nick Reiner got $10,000 a month plus expenses. Universal Healthcare (check): Nick got 17 trips to...

Khan Yunis (Palestinian Territories) (AFP) – It only took a matter of minutes after the heavy overnight rain first began to fall for Jamil al-Sharafi's tent in southern Gaza to flood, drenching his food and leaving his blankets sopping wet. The winter rains have made an already precarious life worse for people like Sharafi, who is among the hundreds of thousands in the Palestinian territory displaced by the war, many of whom now survive on aid provided by humanitarian organisations. "My children are shivering from cold and fear... The tent was completely flooded within minutes," Sharafi, 47, said on Sunday....

Introduce mass immigration. The white working class ‘betrayed’ the hard left when they failed to rise in the much longed-for proletarian revolution, and they failed to rise because they had become too affluent. The Marxist solution was to introduce a new, foreign-born ‘oppressed proletariat’ as a means of enabling Socialism’s march toward total power. The number of Third World immigrants in Britain runs into the millions. This deliberate racial dilution and dispossession of an indigenous people has never happened on such a scale – unless under threat or use of extreme violence.White children are now a minority in London schools...

For over a year, Elías Padilla had been saving up to make the journey from Honduras to the United States as an undocumented immigrant. As an Uber driver in the snarled streets of the capital, Tegucigalpa, it hasn't been easy for him to put money aside. On bad days he makes as little as $12 (£9) in 12 hours. Now, though, his plans are on hold. The images of undocumented immigrants in major US cities being dragged away by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, their wrists in zip-ties, have deterred at least one would-be immigrant in Central America from...

War may be a boon to politicians and bankers, but it is life-or-death for everyone else. Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky is returning to the White House on January 28 to discuss the Russia-Ukraine War. The visit ostensibly concerns a proposed twenty-point “peace plan” that European Union “elites” have constructed to counter President Trump’s ongoing peace negotiations with Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin. Given that the European proposal essentially denies Russia any of its stated military objectives, Zelensky’s efforts appear to be little more than another theatrical scene designed to demonstrate to the world his (insincere) willingness to sue for peace....

🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(12/28/25)[Prayer]Countdown To The New YearMatthew 2:1-12The Magi Visit the Messiah 2 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi[a] from the east came to Jerusalem 2 and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” 3 When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where...

As national education spending per pupil rises, student enrollment is dropping and test scores across the United States are falling, which raises concern over how effectively taxpayer dollars are being used in public schools. Since 2002, K-12 public school spending has increased by more than 35%, yet enrollment has dropped 2.1%, which is over a million students over the past five years. Student achievement has also declined, with only one-third of students nationwide scoring at or above the proficient level on the National Assessment of Educational Progress in reading, according to the National Assessment Governing Board. Currently, 40% of fourth...

The gold price is racing from one all-time high to the next. That’s good news for friends of the precious metal and bad news for anyone still hoping for a stabilization of global debt dynamics. Assuming the markets close out the year without major volatility, gold holders can look forward to an approximate 70 percent increase in value within a single year. This is remarkable -- not least because 2024 already ended with a 26 percent gain for the otherwise conservative asset class of precious metals. That amounts to a doubling of value in just two years -- a surge...

The approval of the synodal document, last October 25, by the synod of Italian bishops, which in fact clears the sin of sodomy, testifies even more that the apostasy prophesied in the third secret of Fatima is in action. «The apostasy within the Church is the most serious and shocking thing» that emerges from the 20th century Marioophany. «Cardinal Ciappi, who had read the Third Secret, specified that the Virgin had said that the apostasy would begin at the summit of the Church». Every Catholic today is called to bear witness to the Truth and to oppose this Masonic fringe...

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent predicted that Americans will see "gigantic" refund checks in the upcoming filing season, thanks to tax cuts in President Donald Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA). Bessent, who also serves as the acting commissioner of the IRS, made the remark during an appearance on the "All-In Podcast." The treasury secretary told the hosts that the tax provisions in the act, which Trump signed in July, applied retroactively to the beginning of the year, and because most workers did not change their withholdings, many can expect sizable refunds in 2026. "I can see that we’re gonna...

Many people are aware that we are the generation of which Jesus spoke about in the Gospel of Matthew (Mt 24:34): “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be” (Mt 24:21)! “Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away till all these things take place” (Mt 24:34). Today we find ourselves in crisis at all levels: cultural, economic, spiritual, etc. The prophecy of Saint Francis of Assisi indicates that: “2. The power of the demons will be greater than usual,...

The contretemps at TPUSA and Heritage are less significant than the Democrats’ legal and economic challenges. Charlie Kirk was a one-off, it seems. His assassination and the turning over of TPUSA to his wife Erika may prove that his legacy handoff is more than she is able to effectively manage. So much of what I saw at this week’s Am Fest triggered by Tucker Carlson (and Jack Posobiec’s cosplaying Jesus Christ Superstar while posting with a disgusting anti-Semite) undercuts -- indeed denigrates -- what Charlie and TPUSA once stood for. While Vice President J.D. Vance used his opportunity there to...

The late MOTHER ANGELICA (1923-2016) used to often warn us about the great danger of offering to others MISGUIDED COMPASSION. She also often told us that if you are not a thorn in the side of someone you are not living Christianity properly. After her stroke in 2001, we no longer hear on the biggest Catholic television network in the world that she founded, EWTN, Eternal Word Television Network, the great danger of “misguided compassion” and not being “a thorn in the side of someone”. I truly believe that Mother Angelica was a saint because she maintained the glory of...
