Russia’s Ministry of Health announced Tuesday that it will be restricting abortion pill access from September 1, 2024 through 2030. Under the new restriction, a doctor’s prescription will be required to obtain the abortion pill drugs mifepristone and misoprostol at a pharmacy. Pharmacies and hospitals wishing to dispense the abortion pill must also have a special license, and they must report how many pills they have sold. This is a significant change from the current law, which allows women to get abortion pills for free from any pharmacy without a doctor’s prescription. According to The Moscow Times, the Health Ministry...

Disclaimer: The opinions expressed in this guest post are solely those of the guest author. With the overturn of Roe, the legislative fight is now waged at the state level. Ohio is the latest battleground, becoming a hotbed of political debate as voters prepare to face off on Issue 1, a ballot measure that would enshrine abortion rights in the state constitution. Issue 1 — “The Right to Reproductive Freedom with Protections for Health and Safety” amendment — is so loosely and vaguely written, one can only surmise its far-reaching implications and devastating ramifications. And if this amendment is passed,...

Germany's interior minister said on Friday Hamas supporters should be deported from the country where possible, and authorities would keep a close eye on potential threats following the Palestinian militant group's attack on Israel. "If we are able to deport Hamas supporters, we must do this," Nancy Faeser said following talks with officials at the Federal Criminal Police Office. "Our security authorities have currently placed an even stronger focus on the Islamist scene," she added, pointing to a recent attack in Brussels as an indication of the threat.

A new report from the Federal Reserve claims that the average American household actually saw an increase in its net worth during the Chinese pandemic ... In 2019, the median U.S. household had a net worth of $141,100, adjusted for inflation. In 2022, that number rose to $193,000. At the same time, various measures of “financial fragility” declined over the same period, with the median debt payments as a share of income falling to 13.4%, the lowest rate in the 33 years since the survey was first started. “It’s especially striking given the massive job loss we saw when the...

(Pregnancy Help News) Students for Life of America (SFLA) discovered numerous Christian or Christian-affiliated universities promoting abortion and maintaining ties with Planned Parenthood. The pro-life group, with its Demetree Institute, released a report last fall with 11 Christian schools having ties to the nation’s largest abortion provider, and Campus Reform likewise followed up, discovering many more. SFLA had previously gathered evidence of more than 100 Christian colleges and universities in relationships with Planned Parenthood. SFLA has been monitoring Christian schools nationwide since 2019 for potential abortion ties. In the latest SFLA report some schools were offering internships through Planned Parenthood,...

America is currently facing dual public health crises of record drug shortages and skyrocketing prices. Several critical medicines are in short supply, including at least 14 essential generic cancer drugs, ADHD treatments, antibiotics, and even children’s acetaminophen. Americans also spend more on prescription drugs per capita than people in any other country. A quarter of adults surveyed in 2022 said that they or a member of their household have not filled a prescription, cut pills in half or skipped doses of medicine because of cost. This number will likely increase as the cost of living continues to rise. The long-term...

Palestinian protestors in the West Bank waved Russian and Hamas flags and carried portraits of Russia's President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to express their fury about Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip and U.S. support for Israel. Putin cropped up as Russia told Israel it was negotiating with Hamas for the return of some hostages. Protesters took to the streets of Hebron to show solidarity with the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip. After the rally, some protesters threw stones at Israeli forces and set tire fires. On Thursday, Russia's foreign minister proposed regular security talks...

A diner was left disgusted after digging into fish soup that turned out to be slimy and not fresh with a bad smell. Things soured further when she went to inform the stall owner, only to be rebuffed. It is unlikely that the launch of three cruise missiles and eight drones by the Houthis in Yemen was aimed at Israel. Rather, the attack was aimed at the US destroyer, USS Carney. Unless new, much longer-range cruise missiles have arrived in Yemen, the cruise missiles fired at the USS Carney, an Admiral Burke-class destroyer, probably lacked the range to hit Israel. So far, the US Navy has not clarified whether the missiles were aimed at the Carney or Israel, saying it is looking into the matter. Three cruise missiles and eight Kamikaze drones were taken out by the Carney....

Joining the groups of outspoken activists who attach themselves to prominent works of art, Pope Francis has glued himself to the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel to protest climate change. "We must stop climate change now!" the 86-year-old pontiff said as he hung precariously from the ceiling that features priceless paintings by famed artist Michelangelo. "There is no greater danger to all of God's children than the threat of the temperature of the earth rising slightly and causing inclement weather. All other issues around the world pale in comparison to this."

LifeSiteNews) — On this week’s episode of The Van Maren Show, Jonathon sat down with pro-life leader Mark Harrington to discuss the recent Ohio referendum and its implications for a proposed constitutional amendment to enshrine abortion “rights” up until birth. Harrington, founder and president of Created Equal, kicked off the show by reacting to the results of the August 8 referendum, known as Issue 1. Ohioans were asked to vote “Yes” or “No” on raising the threshold to amend the state constitution from a simple 50 percent plus one majority to a 60 percent requirement. The “No” side won by...

Diane Derzis, an abortion facility owner who has been nicknamed the “abortion queen,” is facing severe criticism from abortion advocates after she was found to be charging women extra money for abortions. Her reasoning was that these women need to have “skin in the game.” STAT News reported that Stephanie Rosenwinge grew up idolizing Derzis, and was excited to work with her idol at a new facility in Bristol, Virginia. But the reality didn’t measure up to the fantasy; Rosenwinge said Derzis was telling staff to cut back on the amount of financial aid they were giving to women. Derzis...

A 98-year-old Ukrainian war veteran Yaroslav Hunka has been charged with genocide by Russia. Along with other members of his SS division, Hunka killed "at least 500 citizens of the USSR" in the village of Huta Pieniacka, now part of Ukraine, between February 23 and 28, 1944, Russia claims. In a statement, Russia's Investigative Committee said it charged Hunka in absentia with the "genocide of civilians on the territory of the Ukrainian SSR during the Great Patriotic War". "Among those killed were Jews and Poles. People were shot, burned in residential houses and also in the church," it added. The...

Evidence exists of a $200,000 payment to now-President Joe Biden — in 2018, before his election to the White House — from his brother, James Biden, and James’ wife, Sara Biden, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) revealed Friday. The revelation shows Joe Biden personally accepting money from his family’s overseas business ventures, despite denying his involvement in the business at least nine times. “Where is the money? Joe Biden asked reporters in September. Comer believes he found some. “A document that we’re releasing today raises new questions about how President Biden personally benefited from his family’s shady influence...

President Joe Biden’s deputies are asking Congress for $14 billion extra to help bus illegal migrants up to the U.S. border and onward into hotels in many cities and towns around the nation. The request is being touted as “border security” even though very few funds would be used to exclude economic migrants. For example, Biden’s deputies have ushered more than 300,000 economic migrants through the U.S. border in September alone. The 2023 inflow has added up to roughly 2.5 million, not counting legal migrants and temporary workers. Instead, much of the requested money would be used to help more...
