As 22-year-old Monica Lewinsky arrived at the White House in the summer of 1995, she peered up at the imposing building, a mixture of excitement and nerves coursing through her veins. (CNN)For a political party, controlling the White House and Congress isn't the picnic it's made out to be. Politicians who find themselves in this treasured position enter office with grand ambitions, even if they control only slim majorities in Congress. Those ambitions often run into a harsh reality, as the frustrating last few months for the Democrats demonstrate. President Joe Biden has attempted to maneuver a massive domestic agenda through the Democratic Congress, but now heads off to Europe to attend the G20 and COP26 fearing that he might end up with nothing. The political risks are immense. Other Democratic...

“The W.H.O. admitted that they developed the [PCR] test based on in silico modelled genetic sequence; not a real element taken from patients. That’s true. That’s NOT a conspiracy theory. That’s the truth,” said Dr. Kevin P. Corbett. In silico modelling is otherwise known as computer modelling. There are many elephants in the room with regards to the official narrative of Covid-19. Perhaps the biggest of all, is the uncertainty surrounding the existence of SARS-CoV-2. Many scientists know this to be true, but don’t want to go near the subject, through fear of reproach.Dr. Corbett is a qualified nurse, health scientist...

Democrats on the House Oversight and Reform Committee and its subcommittee on the environment held a hearing on Thursday to grill the CEOs of top U.S. fossil fuel companies, calling it a historic event, to call out the businesses for lying to the American people about the existential threat of climate change. But the one Republican witness on the panel perhaps best summed up what is at stake when it comes to the left’s efforts to make climate change more important than American workers and the nation’s economy.

“Spending is the real problem,” said the world’s richest man when he dismantled the logic behind the Democratic Party’s latest class warfare tax-the-rich scheme. Tesla co-founder and CEO Elon Musk took to Twitter in response to a Washington Post story promoting the Democrat tax plan, which featured him as the cover photo. The Post said the proposal “would raise billions of dollars from a handful of the richest Americans, attempting to create perhaps the most narrowly focused tax policy in postwar history.” Post NASA and space industry reporter Christian Davenport seemingly celebrated how the “$50 billion” Musk would pay in...

An Idaho company that successfully brought genetically modified potatoes to the market announced an agreement Thursday to help a Watsonville-based plant breeding company grow strawberries they say will stay fresh longer and have a longer growing season. J.R. Simplot Company and Plant Sciences Inc., both privately-held companies, said they expect to launch the first commercially available, gene-edited strawberries within a few years. U.S. growers produced $2.2 billion in strawberries in 2020, mostly in California, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. But consumers discarded an estimated 35% of the crop due to spoilage. Simplot and Plant Sciences officials said genetically...

The Biden administration is reportedly considering paying out hundreds of thousands of dollars to migrant families separated at the southern border during the Trump administration, about $1 billion in total. Officials from the departments of Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, and Justice have proposed paying each person $450,000, or nearly $1 million per two-person family, to settle claims about the lasting traumatic and psychological effects of being torn apart as a result of former President Donald Trump’s zero-tolerance policy, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday afternoon.
