Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), who has helped craft the Democrats' latest voting rights bill, said on Sunday that it is evil to make it hard for people to vote. During an appearance on MSNBC’s “The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart,” Klobuchar said the proposed Freedom to Vote Act will be a victory for all Americans, sharing the positive response it received from newspapers after being unveiled earlier this week. “But we've had rave reviews about the bill, positive editorials today about the substance of the bill in The New York Times, Washington Post. And for me, that was number...

President Biden went for a bike ride at the beach on Sunday amid multiple national crises and he refused to answer reporters' questions as he biked past them. "Mr. President, what will you tell Emmanuel Macron?" a reporter asked as Biden sped by. "When are you going to call Macron?" another reporter asked. Biden is set to call French President Emmanuel Macron to resolve a diplomatic crisis that developed last week. France recalled its ambassadors to the United States and Australia in response to a joint agreement between the U.S., Australia, and the United Kingdom to provide nuclear submarines to...

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) is privately saying he thinks Congress should take a “strategic pause” until 2022 before voting on President Biden’s $3.5 trillion social-spending package, people familiar with the matter tell Axios. Why it matters: Manchin’s new timeline — if he insists on it — would disrupt the plans by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) to vote on the budget reconciliation package this month. Driving the news: Back home in West Virginia last week, Manchin told a group of employees at a Procter & Gamble facility in Martinsburg he wanted to pause...

Trump says US becoming a ‘cesspool of humanity’ amid border crisis Former President Donald Trump said the country is becoming a “cesspool of humanity” as the Biden administration scrambles to handle the more than 14,000 mainly Haitian migrants living in a makeshift camp under a bridge in Texas. “The largest number of illegal aliens in the history of our Country are pouring in by the millions. They are totally unchecked and unvetted, can do whatever they want, and go wherever they want,” Trump said in an emailed statement on Sunday. “Our Country is rapidly becoming a cesspool of humanity. Facing an unprecedented shipping crisis, which includes a record 61 container ships in the queue in San Pedro bay, the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach on Friday announced their intent to extend operating hours at truck gates in an effort to reduce a massive backlog of containers gumming up retail, manufacturing and agricultural supply chains. The Port of Long Beach is drawing up a pilot program for drayage trucks to retrieve and return containers at night, while the Port of Los Angeles is coordinating a weekend gate program, dubbed Accelerate Cargo LA, that will operate on a trial...

Police officers were dispatched to the Kinloch Volunteer Fire Department in Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania, shortly after 6 p.m. for a shooting inside the fire hall. "This was not an active shooter event, but rather an isolated family incident during a baby shower," he said. A preliminary investigation showed the incident began as a family argument about gifts at the baby shower. It escalated into a physical fight and then gunfire when the "suspect introduced a nine-millimeter semiautomatic handgun" and fired three shots into the crowd of about 25 friends and family, the chief said. At the time of the press...

Public schools (in Italy) can display crucifix when decided democratically, court rulesROME (CNS) — Italy’s highest court of appeal has ruled that public school classrooms can approve the presence of the crucifix because it does not discriminate against anyone. The court specified, however, that all religious symbols can also be “welcomed” as long as it is decided in a democratic, civil and “gentle” manner by students and faculty together. That means, it said, all decisions regarding their presence must never be imposed and must seek “reasonable accommodation” between the different positions or convictions of people in the school community that includes respecting...

First things first. If there ever was an actual “insurrection”, a couple hundred patriots with axe handles would easily crush these out-of-shape DC riot goons dressed like teenage ninja turtles. Just sayin’… Although, to be fair, a few of the groups did look like they just raided the costume surplus from the last Batman movie.Today, the feds planted undercover operatives all over the DC mall in an effort to manipulate the crowd and set-up another “insurrection narrative.” However, in a hilarious turn of events no one showed up to play. As a result, there were more media looking for stories...
