Et tu?

Oh please. That order does NOT DO THAT !

It is a TEMPORARY STAY !

SOMEBODY has SEVEN DAYS to file a response:

“It is further ordered that a response to the application be filed on or before Monday, September 15th, 2025, by 4 p.m.

(Presumably REBECCA K. SLAUGHTER)

The only one who “obeys” the Supreme Court is the Trump administration. Kind of feckless.

That is usually how such cases before the SCOTUS works. Personally I have no doubt Trump is well within his authority to fire her.

CJ Roberts throws a small bone to Trump now and then so he can endlessly delay taking action on substantive issues. More of the same fiddling while Rome burns.

I guess you do not realize the courts do not lift such injunctions unless they believe it likely that the party requesting it is likely to prevail.

SO in otherwards Roberts believes Trump will ultimately win this case and given that Roberts is a Supreme he kind of has a say in that.

So yes, this is a win for Trump, and the firing is probably going to stick.

But hey, please do continue the cringe. The key pint of this being a win for Trump is accurate but whatever “cope” gets you through the day.

Past Presidents turned out to be pretty silly. Why in the world would you sign a bill that says you can’t fire your employees? Hopefully no one else will ever sign something that even suggests you can’t fire someone.

“The only one who “obeys” the Supreme Court is the Trump administration. Kind of feckless.”

That’s harsh, IMO. Trump can hold up the ultimate trophy: he is restoring the rule of law by his sheer, dogged pursuit of every single last inch of executive power BY LEGAL MEANS ONLY. He is getting rulings from the Supreme Court within the first half year which are lashing out against universal injunctions and the brazen refusal of the lower courts to obey SCOTUS. This the battleground of the rule of law: the Supreme Court of the land has called out against rogue judges disobeying the rule of law. HUGE and SERIES victory for our President and our country.

I do not believe any of Trump's so called Supreme Court victories are a final affirmation of a president's executive power. Just temporary stays of injunctions as the cases against Trump wind their way through the appellate process.

Roberts is master of splitting the baby. His court ruled there is no Constitutional right to abortion but provided the means to make it legal.
