There are hundreds of Linux distributions. Some are for general purpose usage, while some are specifically tailored for education, robotics, hacking, gaming and what not. You’ll notice that most of them originate from Debian/Ubuntu, Arch and Red Hat/Fedora. President Biden on Monday softened his criticism that platforms like Facebook are “killing people” with misinformation about the coronavirus pandemic, saying he wishes the company would do more to stop the spread of inaccurate information. On Monday, Biden responded to a reporter’s question about his hyperbolic statement. “Facebook isn’t killing people, these 12 people are out there giving misinformation. Anyone listening to it is getting hurt by it. It’s killing people. It’s bad information,” Biden told reporters after giving remarks about the economy, referencing a study that showed a dozen accounts on Facebook are responsible for the majority of misinformation...

"You said last week that companies and platforms like Facebook are 'killing people' by—" Biden was asked. "I mean precisely what I said, I'm glad you asked me that question," Biden said. "One, I had just read that on the Facebook, Facebook pointed out, it was...

Pentagon contractor investigating 'extremism,' says BLM web search raises concerns about White supremacy The Pentagon is reportedly working with an extremism analysis company that considers the web search "the truth about Black Lives Matter" and others to be signs of interest in or engagement with White supremacism. We actually needed...

Following the adoption of legislation letting inmates identify their sex and choose where to be housed, risky sexual behavior has become rampant in California women’s penitentiaries, according to an inmate activist. At the California Institution for Women in Chino, for example, HIV positive transgender “women” are having sex with biological women, said Amber Jackson, an inmate there. “What kind of human being would intentionally cause harm by placing a number HIV-infected, anatomically male prisoners among the female prisoners?” Jackson asked. In September, Gov. Gavin Newsom signed the bill, authored by Sen. Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco), requiring California to house inmates...

Sheriff Alex Villanueva said Friday his deputies will not actively enforce the mandate, saying requiring vaccinated people to wear masks “is not backed by science and contradicts the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.” Solis said that the LA County mask rule is “not punishment, it’s prevention.” But some vaccinated residents said it felt like they were being penalized despite doing the right thing. “It feels like the the burden of the unvaccinated is being placed on the vaccinated,” Glendale resident Justin Sevakis told ABC7. “It’s like there are people that don’t have common sense and so therefore...

The US government is reportedly investing millions of dollars to breed more monkeys in the name of biomedical research after a shortage of the animals worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the scientific journal Nature, demand for the non-human primates in the US has skyrocketed as the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) issued grants to study HIV/AIDS and the coronavirus necessitated the animals’ use in vaccine testing last year. Those who minimize the Civil War (based on a racialist agenda denying America's arc toward freedom) are trumpeting its significance to magnify election disputes. It was always a mistake to treat the ravings of a man who once told African Americans that Mitt Romney would “put y’all back in chains” as having credibility on racial issues or history. When then-Vice President Joe Biden uttered that hyperbolic lie during a 2012 campaign speech, that sort of calumny against Republicans seemed to embarrass even partisan Democrats.Republicans skewered his claim that a GOP stand on financial regulatory policy was the harbinger of the return...
