I find this totally fascinating, though not completely unexpected. When a random sample of American adults were asked the question “Just a rough guess, what percent profit on each dollar of sales do you think the average company makes after taxes?†for the Reason-Rupe poll in May 2013, the average response was 36%! That response was very close to historical results from the polling organization ORC’s polls for a slightly different, but related question: What percent profit on each dollar of sales do you think the average manufacturer makes after taxes? Responses to that question in 9 different polls between...

Pres Trump bashed London Mayor Sadiq Khan, calling him a “stone cold loser” saying Khan’s been “foolishly nasty” to him. Trump ramped up the vitriol before landing for his three-day state visit. “@SadiqKhan, who by all accounts has done a terrible job as Mayor of London, has been foolishly ‘nasty’ to the visiting US President, by far the most important ally of the UK,” Trump tweeted. “He is a stone cold loser who should focus on crime in London, not me.” Trump took another dig at presidential longshot Mayor de Blasio. “Kahn reminds me very much of our very dumb...

Socialist Hucksters (To the tune of “Officer Krupke”) Trump: Dear kindly Special Counsel You gotta understand It's just a phony dossier That got this out of hand The FBI were flunkies The Democrats are skunks Golly Moses, that’s why I got punked Gee, Counselor Mueller, I’m very upset I never got the rights that those accused are supposed to get I ain’t no colluder, And I’ve understood The Deep State has been up to no good They’re no good They’re no good, they’re no good They’re no earthly good We all know the Deep State is no good Mueller: (Spoken)...

As a former long-time journalist, I like to sometimes write a straight news story based on the actual news and not leftist agitprop. If straightforward, honest, non-pack journalists were covering last week’s surprise press conference by Robert Mueller, this is how a news story might read. Surprise Mueller Statement Questions Universal Presumption Of Innocence (WASHINGTON, D.C.) Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III broke from long-standing judicial tradition in the United States Wednesday when he laid out two tiers of jurisprudence when it comes to a basic presumption of innocence. In a hastily called press conference announced just 90 minutes before...

A Fox News town hall with Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) went south on Sunday when the presidential hopeful started attacking the network over its abortion coverage. Her rant against Fox began after a former pediatric nurse asked about her position on late-term abortions. Instead of offering a response to the question, Gillibrand blamed Fox for talking about the “red herring†of infanticide, devoting more than six hours to covering the abortion debate."What we have created, unfortunately, is a false choice and a false narrative," she said. "And Chris, I want to talk about the role that Fox News plays in this because...

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) took aim at the National Rifle Association on Sunday during her town hall on Fox News. She set herself up to be this strong proponent of gun control laws and legislation. In fact, she criticized the NRA and made a number of false statements about the pro-gun group. She also seemed to forget that before she ran for the Senate, she wrote a letter to the NRA, praising the group for their work to protect the Second Amendment. In that letter, she said she wanted to work with the pro-Second Amendment organization. Suddenly she's doing a...

More than 300 Boeing 737 jets, including the Max, may have faulty wing parts that don’t meet strength and durability standards, the Federal Aviation Administration said Sunday, following a joint investigation with the aircraft manufacturer. The FAA plans to order airlines to remove and replace the parts if their aircraft are affected, the agency said. As many as 148 parts made by a Boeing supplier could be “susceptible to premature failure or cracks,” the FAA said in a statement about the slat tracks. Slats are pieces on the front of the wing and move along a track to create lift....

MC Networks announced Thursday that it would join a growing number of media companies threatening to pull investments or projects in Georgia over the state's new anti-abortion law that goes into effect next year. A spokesperson for the network, which has invested heavily in production facilities in the state, including for the network's hit series "The Walking Dead," told Variety the company would "reevaluate" its productions in the state if the new law survives legal challenges filed by abortion rights advocates. “If this highly restrictive legislation goes into effect, we will reevaluate our activity in Georgia. Similar bills – some...

Recently, New York writer Fran Lebowitz told Bill Maher on his HBO program that the U.S. government should turn President Donald Trump “over to the Saudis, his buddies—the same Saudis who got rid of that reporter.”

Lebowitz thought it was cool to imagine on live television that the president might be chopped up in the manner of the recent murder of Saudi journalist and activist Jamal Khashoggi.

I’m sorry to be a broken record on this, but this line from Robert Mueller infuriates me: “If we had had confidence that the president had clearly not committed a crime we would have said so.” Mueller — David M. Drucker (@DavidMDrucker) May 29, 2019 That’s not how it works in America. Investigators are supposed to look for evidence that a crime was committed, and, if they don’t find enough to contend that a crime was a committed, they are supposed to say “We didn’t find enough to contend that a crime was committed.” They are not supposed to look...

The early U.S. Congress wanted every “free able-bodied white male citizen” between the ages of 18 and 45 to be an armed member of a militia, reports Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin. The historical perspective amid a progressive effort to restrict and even confiscate guns comes from T.J. Martinelli, an author and reporter in Washington state, who wrote about Congress and guns at the Tenth Amendment Center website. He points out that it was 227 years ago this month that Congress adopted the Militia Acts of 1792. The pair of statutes allowed the president to lead state militias in time of...

Queen Elizabeth II greeted President Trump with a warm smile and a booming double gun salute at Buckingham Palace on Monday, as he began his first state visit to the U.K. They set aside the controversy of his arrival tweets — criticizing the mayor of London — to focus on the ceremony, pomp, and pageantry of the formal occasion. Trump and the first lady arrived aboard Marine One to be met first by Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, before being welcomed by the Queen, 93, who looked vibrant in mint green. A handful of Trump waiting outside Buckingham Palace...

If anyone currently working for and on behalf of the Trump administration has an expert’s grasp of our Constitution, our founding, and what sort of country our founders bequeathed to their descendants, it’s Attorney General William Barr. During his multi-faceted interview last week with CBS News, the AG took the Left-wing “mainstream media” to task for failing to properly report on the “Spygate” scandal that, in fact, they helped to enable by serving as conduits for lies, fake news, and phony allegations against a president their friends in the deep state sought to depose. More specifically, Barr was floored by...

President Trump mixed high-level diplomacy with schoolyard taunts as he arrived early Monday morning at Buckingham Palace as part of a packed overseas agenda that includes an audience with Queen Elizabeth II and D-Day commemoration ceremonies. At the palace in London, the president and first lady Melania Trump were greeted by Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, ahead of a private lunch with the Queen. TRUMP SPARS WITH LONDON MAYOR Trump could be seen chatting with members of the Guard of Honor as the rest of the American delegation, from a terrace, observed the elaborate arrival...

There’s certainly no shortage of personalities to mock in the political world. But while it’s always fun to mock the latest gaffe by one of our public servants, the battle of daily politics is exhausting and often leaves us with little progress. If supporters of freedom are ever to find long-term success in the political realm, they must be able to successfully advocate their foundational principles.Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the new favorite target of conservatives, free-marketers, constitutionalists, and anyone with a general history education. But what is the goal of these groups? To push AOC out of office? If that happens,...

As another Memorial Day came and went, Mayor Pete Buttigieg was criticizing President Donald Trump for reportedly considering pardons for several service members accused of war crimes. He called the idea “slander against veterans that could only come from somebody who never served.” The 37-year-old Democrat mocked the president, saying, “I don’t have a problem standing up to somebody who was working on Celebrity Apprentice when I was packing my bags for Afghanistan.” Mayor Pete also defended NFL national anthem protests, declaring, “Trump would get it if he had served.” He claimed he’d “put his life on the line” for...

Will about a million species go extinct in the next few years if we don’t act to curb climate change? An assessment report from the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) says so.The mainstream media reacted with the credence a devout religious person would give to a sacred text. “1 Million Species Are Threatened with Extinction. And Humans are to Blame” was a typical headline. But the claim was foolish. Why?Like the periodic assessment reports on climate change from the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the report’s primary objective seems to be to blame humans for...

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem (Old Testament) 1 Kings 8 Solomon’s Prayer of Dedication 22 Then Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in front of the whole assembly of Israel, spread out his hands toward heaven 23 and said: “Lord, the God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven above or on earth below—you who keep your covenant of love with your servants who continue wholeheartedly in your way. 24 You have kept your promise to your servant David my father; with your mouth you have promised and with your hand you have fulfilled it—as it...

President Donald Trump just touched down in Stansted Airport, his first stop on a three-day state visit to the U.K., the goal of which is to "reaffirm the steadfast and special relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom." During his stay, Trump has a packed itinerary, which features events with the royal family like a tea with Prince Charles at Clarence House and a banquet held by the Queen at Buckingham Palace. He will also lay a wreath on the Grave of the Unknown Warrior at Westminster Abbey, will meet with Prime Minister Theresa May at No. 10...
