Heavenly Father God,

You are Holy, Wonderful and Supreme. You are the Almighty, the Only True and Living God. We praise You. We adore You. You are our Hope and our Salvation.

Father God, please continue the work in us, sanctifying us, washing us, and burning away the dross. If there is any violence in our hearts, crudeness in our thoughts, or meanness in our bones, Lord, help us to be shed of these traits. Help us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling.

You have called us to be Your people, set apart, ambassadors to a fallen world. Help us in our walk, our talk, and our deeds, that others may see the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Help us as individuals and as the corporate body of Christ, to be salt and light.

As the days grow short and evil is rising, let our witness be untarnished. Give us strength, wisdom and opportunity to share the Good News. Give us courage, love and mercy that we may help others find the way.

Soften the hearts of those who continue to resist You. Help them to believe in You, and to desire a relationship with You. There is no political solution to a spiritual problem. We pray that You will be invited back into our communities, our institutions and our culture. We pray that we will once again be One Nation Under God.

Lord, when we pray Psalm 91 over President Trump and our family members, we ask You to give Your angels charge over him/them to keep them in all their ways. We confess that is exactly what happened last night in Butler as You protected former President Trump from the evil that sought his life. Thank You, Lord, for having mercy upon this man and our nation. May his recovery be swift and his courage be supernaturally fortified. Please use this horrible event to bring people together throughout America as we confess our need for You. We oray for comfort and the Your provision for those whose loved ones were victimized by this vicious act of hatred. Let this be a turning point for the repentance of our nation and may we all turn to You for Your mercy. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
