Beloved FRiends, my dear husband is having a rectal bleeding event again. I am awaiting his gastroenterologist’s callback as to go ahead and bring him to hospital to be evaluated. It is best that his doctor send word to the ED to expect him, it will keep them from setting him aside in the waiting area instead of taking him straight back into triage / bed. He is at the moment exhaustedly sleeping and I am keeping a close eye on him.
Asking that The Lord Jesus Heal my husband of this malady that I think is now peptic in nature (rectal having been dealt with and cleared). Emotionally he’s been through a lot.
Thank you my Dear FRiends. I’m sorry I likely posted this a bit wrong from what I’ve noted the other day as guidelines, I just needed to get this information out to you.

I had a response all typed out. While 100% truth, I decided not to post it.
I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life Jesus said. I take “truth” very seriously.
Sometimes, the “truth” should remain unspoken.
In additional to immediate cessation of blood thinners, I was put on a proton pump inhibitor to reduce stomach acid in hopes that the ulcer would heal. It did.
The transoral endoscopy included checks for H. pylori infection of the stomach (none) and celiac sprue in the duodenum (none).
Having just been through the gauntlet, I don't envy what your husband has ahead, but hopefully it can be narrowed down to a treatable, recoverable state. Mine went further down the rabbit hole leaving me with a diagnosis of adenocarcinoma of the ampulla of Vater. The road ahead doesn't look great.

I have been through this. On a Saturday in the ER I sat on a toilet chair in with blood pouring out of me nonstop and they told me I had the flu and sent me home. By Monday I was hallucinating and close to bleeding to death. My PCP happened to be chief of staff at the hospital and had me admitted. Several transfusions and a colonoscopy later (which I never should had in that condition), I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis.
I was told during that experience that few things are as painful as a bleeding colon.
Persist on behalf of your husband and see that he gets treated.
