‘Mrs. Greene's statement about leaving the Church is as enlightening as it is saddening,’ commented Michael Hichborn, president of the Lepanto Institute.
(LifeSiteNews) – Following criticism of comments she made about the U.S. Catholic bishops, conservative firebrand U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene revealed that she was raised Catholic but left the Church “with great sorrow” when she had kids because she had concerns about the left-wing hierarchy protecting abusive priests.
“With great sorrow, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, I stopped attending Catholic Mass when I became a mother, because I realized that I could not trust the Church’s leadership to protect my children from pedophiles, and that they harbored monsters even in their own ranks,” the now-evangelical said in a lengthy statement.
The Georgia Republican was responding to the Catholic League’s Bill Donahue, who slammed her for suggesting in an interview with Church Militant’s Michael Voris that “Satan is controlling the Church.”
“The Church is not doing its job. And it’s not adhering to the teachings of Christ,” she added.
“It’s the Church leadership I was referring to when I invoked the Devil,” Greene clarified on Twitter. “Just so we’re clear, bishops, when I said ‘controlled by Satan,’ I wasn’t talking about the Catholic Church. I was talking about you.”
“The Catholic Church must throw out these monsters instead of lecturing the people its own bishops have driven away,” she continued, blasting the U.S. Catholic bishops as “some of the worst in the world” and “scheming bureaucrats in miters.” It was the “bishops’ wickedness” that drove her out of the Church, Greene said, and her own refusal to “submit the spiritual and physical livelihood of my children to these monsters.”
Greene, who is sometimes referred to as “MTG” (à la “AOC”), went on to say what many faithful Catholics who.......

Murph, we are a spirit, a soul, and a body. WE ARE A SPIRIT before we are redeemed and after. The difference is that our spirit is dead in trespasses and sins until we are born again. There is an aspect of each of us which is already existing in that spiritual realm you are avoiding. Some are existing in a state of deadness spiritually but nevertheless existing in that spiritual realm. Some -both living and dead bodily- are alive in spirit in that spiritual realm. I have to go put drops in my eyes to continue ... hope I can hold my tarin of thought. Be back in a minute.
Thanks bro. Again, I thought this was pretty basic doctrine. 😀😂
Not exactly, eh? Try this on for size.
Gen 2:17, But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
That’s what God said. It’s not brain surgery.
Gen 3:3. But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
That’s what Eve said. If I have to make a choice between what God said, and what Eve said, I will choose to believe what God said, and not one single word, said they shouldn’t touch the tree, though I DO believe it probably would have been better if they didn’t. Also, Eve said, lest ye die. Horse hockey, bro, He said, THAT SHALT SURELY DIE. Big difference bro.
By the way, just so you know, I generally don’t read your posts, especially if they are longer than two sentences. So, if you want to post to me, be brief, even briefer, or I just skip right over it.
No I just notice ex Catholics are the most vehement
It’s not my fight
2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
Eve was NOT around yet when GOD told Adam about the tree. We can speculate over many things NOT in the bible but lets not confuse ourselves over the things that ARE recorded.
You’re forgiven.
HMMMmmm...
...he typed; leaving the sentence, “Bye, Felicia!”, unsaid.
We were all ‘nones’ at some point in life.
When I was yet an early ‘not none’ I’d look around to see who was NOT taking communion, and wondering what great sin they were involved in that the warning of ‘not recognizing’ the body and blood affected them.
-—>That’s what Eve said.
Nooooooooo, that’s what Moses said that God said, bro.
——>We can speculate over many things NOT in the bible...
Like the following statement?
“whereas Genesis 3:3 is Eve misquoting God; she did not hear it directly but was instructed by the man, so she was deceived whereas the man disobeyed.”
——>but lets not confuse ourselves over the things that ARE recorded.
Exactly.
Gen 3:3But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. (recorded)
Whatever bro.
I think you need to study your Bible, but I will be gracious enough to answer your questions. Adam and Eve were created innocent, but not righteous. I think if they had refused Satan’s temptation, they would have become righteous, and would have always refused his temptations. They ate the fruit, and immediately became sinners. If they had died that day, they would have gone to Hell. You may call that the second death if you like. It doesn’t really matter what it’s called. The animals were killed, to symbolize that blood 🩸 would have to be shed, so sins could be forgiven.
Of course, every single solitary human being (except Jesus) that has ever lived, is spiritually dead, and bound for Hell, UNTIL they become born again.
I believe Adam and Eve accepted the coats of skins from God, indicating to me, they accepted God’s forgiveness, but I think they sewed 🧵 leaves, to cover themselves. I think that was the first false religious act. They tried to cover their own sins, but they DID accept the skins.
I hope that helps you, but you need to study these issues.
I imagine the false prophet White had a vision and watched The Fall happen!
Only the SAD religion knows what was said.
I have no doubt Ellen G White, was waiting behind the bushes, to see what Adam and Eve would do. She was probably saying, don’t do it, don’t do it. But, when they ate the fruit, she was probably giddy, cuz she thought they would have to accept her as their living prophet. She probably also thought they would be open to her story, about the quakers on the moon, or was it the men on Mars, or Jupiter? I just can’t keep all her fairy tales straight. Do you think my story is feasible? 😂😀😊😃👍
“Do you think my story is feasible?”
LOL! It’s as good as so many others I’ve read here.
Some thoughts about your theory...
1. You mispelled "lying prophet."2. She probably would claim (as a spirit medium) that she "had a vision" of your scenario happening.
3. She craved attention, so she probably was giddy!
