Please Pray for Angela, in ER since Sat with uncontrollable body jerks and Spasms every 5-10 seconds [Update #65]

Note from my friend about his Nephew's Wife Angela, she is in her early 50's:

Just wanted to let you know that I took Angela to the ER Sat night with body jerks/spasms every 5-10 seconds. The ER doc was puzzled and she was admitted to the hospital. They did tons of blood work and an MRI on her brain. They still have no idea what is causing this but the Neurologist has referred her to Vanderbilt neurology and their movement disorder clinic. The test ruled out MS, Parkinson's, brain tumor etc. The spasms are still happening just as often. She is very discouraged and mentally and emotionally drained.

Neurological conditions can be difficult to diagnose. Our lovely daughter had a similar episode one night, when she was 7, nothing more since then. The Drs said she had a benign form of epilepsy, never even had to take meds for it. Prayers sent 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Sounds like diabetic neuropathy. I had the same thing. It was like being electrocuted. Extremely painful. It was rhythmic, the spasms happen exactly the same interval, every 10 second or 20 seconds, etc... and my body would jump, like electricity was being shot down my legs. I would grab which ever leg was having a spasm and squeeze trying to make it stop.

And I had a mini-stroke where I couldn't move at all for hours.

I had something sort of like that. Picked it up while getting a transfusion. I named it leg plague, usually on my legs sometimes in arms and legs. Doctors told me it was all in my head and I was a nervous Nellie. Suffered for over 50 years every night. Then my brother 4 years younger came down with something like it. His Dr. in Calif. said he had hemochromatosis and put him on Mirapex.

That is a Parkinson med. I have to take it on schedule, but I am free of it. If you take too much, you will get the hiccups.
