Prosperity Gospel Millionaire Kenneth Copeland Screams at his Followers Unemployed due to Coronavirus Cutbacks 'Don't You Dare Stop Tithing!'
nteb ^ | 3/20/2020 | Geoffrey Grider

Posted on 03/21/2020 2:16:32 PM PDT by Roman_War_Criminal

In a typical display of unbridled greed, sleazy televangelist Kenneth Copeland warns followers that even if they lose their job because of the coronavirus pandemic they must keep giving him money because Jesus.

Today we bring you Old Demon Eyes himself, Kenneth Copeland, and be forewarned, he is really, really mad at unemployed, coronavirus quarantined Christians. Just when I think that Laodicean crooks like Kenneth Copeland, Paula White and all the others cannot possibly get any lower or more disgusting, they do. But Kenneth Copeland, as you will see in this video, is in a class all by himself when it comes to sleaze.

FEAR OF THIS CORONAVIRUS IS FAITH IN ITS ABILITY TO HURT YOU OR KILL YOU. THE FEAR OF ‘WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO? I’M GETTING LAID OFF AT WORK!’

HEY! YOUR JOB’S NOT YOUR SOURCE. IF IT IS, YOU’RE IN TROUBLE. JESUS IS YOUR SOURCE! WHATEVER YOU DO RIGHT NOW, DON’T YOU STOP TITHING! DON’T YOU STOP SOWING OFFERINGS.

‘WELL, THEY WON’T LET US GO TO CHURCH!’

WELL, EMAIL IT IN, THEN! TEXT TOGETHER. SOMETHING. BUT YOU GET YOUR TITHE IN THAT CHURCH IF YOU HAVE TO GO TAKE IT DOWN THERE AND DROP IT OFF… STICK IT UNDER THE DOOR OR SOMETHING. YOU GET THAT TITHE IN THAT CHURCH, YOU GET THAT OFFERING IN THAT CHURCH, AND THEN YOU GO HOME AND DO WHAT YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO DO.

I didn’t read that he is saying ‘tithe to his ministry’. I believe he is saying by an act of faith continue to contribute donations knowing that God will supply the needs no matter what. In a way it’s a little similar to continue to invest in the stock market funds knowing that they will rebound. Personally I have nothing bad to say about Copeland Ministries but I choose to send donations elsewhere.

Prosperity Gospel/Word of Faith is a doctrine of demons. The two churches I am associated with are reaching out to help members who are economically impacted by the virus shutdown.
What is it about the DFW area and “prosperity” preachers?

I’m not a fan of Kenneth Copeland, but this headline is an absolute lie.

He is encouraging people to continue tithing to their churches, first of all. And he’s not “screaming” at anyone.

I’m not sure why the author of this hit piece, Geoffrey Grider, would feel the need to lie. But he did. And that’s pathetic.

You’re exactly right.

Kenneth Copeland has said and done some goofy things. But that’s no reason for people like the author of this hit piece to lie about him.

It’s too bad most people on this thread didn’t take the time to watch the actual video. :-/

You don’t need to be a body language expert to see he’s a con man. Watch his eyes brighten and the near smile (0:21 - 0:23) right before he says his money maker line (0:24 - 0:29). He’s counting money before he gets any.

Tithing isn’t in the New Testament? What was in the bag that Judas was entrusted to handle? And how did the Apostles support their preaching and travel/food needs?

Thanks for your comment.

See my post #54.

I won’t judge him for what he preaches, even though there are things I’ll question in the way he “presents” them. Even some things he preaches give me pause. For sure, he’s said things that seem controversial. But so do most preachers. I run it all through my filters; scripture, tradition, etc.

And so has our POTUS.

Seeing the way Trump is presented by people who disagree with/hate him, I can see that same level (or possibly greater) of antagonism/trap-setting by people who are opposed to Copeland’s stances. Rarely do I see a true, pure analysis, along with scripture, that does not boil down to a difference in opinion.

But so do most preachers. I run it all through my filters; scripture, tradition, etc.

That might be from the mini-series Jesus of Nazareth.

Yeah, well, I’m Catholic and after our bishop told us there’s be no masses here, he said “don’t forget to give through Faith Direct,” which is the online giving program. Give for what, exactly?

This is an “ecumenical” problem.

Maybe that is one of the purposes of this plague - to expose all of the false prophets?

There is also Hebrews 7:2, referencing Genesis 14:20. The NT epistle expands further on the priesthood of Melchizedek, putting that title on Jesus’ Church.

Yep. And it’s actually pretty easy to identify the charlatans. They use the word “seed”. As in: Send us your seed offering. Then sit back and collect your bounty. You can’t reap until you sow!

They are monsters in my book.

Thanks. See my post #71.

It’s a little sad that many on this site take Copeland and hold some of his video/audio “clips” and have decided to judge him and condemn him completely.

I believe if we did the same thing to almost ANY pastor and reviewed everything they ever said, no matter the context, with an eye to catching them out, we could make them appear any way we liked.

I’m not a follower or tither of Copeland (although I used to be and have attended one of his conventions), but I also am a defender of his from misrepresentations and/or exaggerations and/or word-twising his statements.

Just as I’ve said about racism or hate speech occurrences, if it’s as bad as it is claimed, there is no need to exaggerate or lie about stuff. Just use the “real” occurrences.

Otherwise, it appears that you appear to be trying to sell something rather than provide actual, real information to people.

> I was never into tithing a “church” whose leader drives a better car than I do. <

I’m not Jewish. But for a number of years I worked with an Orthodox Jewish community. The younger ones had a nickname for broken down, old cars. They called those cars “rabbimobiles”. As in: All I can afford now is a rabbimobile.

The old cars got that nickname because that’s what their rabbis drove. Broken down old cars.

Kon-man Crapload has more gall than a mile pile of bile.

I urge all people who have tested positive for coronavirus to mail actual physical, biological samples of their sneezing/coughing/other body outputs directly to this thieving teleswindler -- I mean, thoughtful televangelist -- smeared all over a pseudo-genuine three dollar bill, so he can lay hands upon that bio-matter, and pray for a miracle healing for the person whose body generated it.
