Share the gospel and let the holy spirit do its work.
Some say that there are sheep and there are goats. I say there are found sheep, lost sheep, and goats. Believers are found sheep. The rest fall into one of the other two groups. When you share the gospel to a lost sheep, they eventually come to be a found sheep. When you share the gospel with a goat, you get endless grief, often ramped up the more you try.
So just share the GOOD news (none of that hell baloney), and let the holy spirit do its work. You may never even see them come into the fold, but you’ll know about it after this life. :)

You can’t make any difference of any sort when you start with a false premise, and this piece absolutely does.
While many cults are works based, a great many others deny the very concept of sin and those must be approached differently

A question you can ask is: what can you offer me that is better than what I have as a Christian? Everything they offer is based on having to work for it somehow.

Do these so-called ‘witnessers’ realize that in their attempts to be good little christians getting their ‘witnesser’ card punched, that they are crapping on someone else’s 1st Amendment rights, if those being talked at, are American citizens?

There is JOY in knowing Christ and His Salvation.
1 Thessalonians 5:16
Show it!
You’d be surprised how many people will come up to you wondering what’s your secret.
Sometimes a simple smile to anonymous people will bring about conversations as well.
With all that his going on in the world, the lost are looking for answers in all of the wrong places. They need Jesus!

Mat_10:14 And whoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when you depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
Mar_6:11 And whoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Truly I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city.
Luk_9:5 And whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that city shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.
What does God say on the matter?
The “shaking the dust story” is told in 3 of the Gospels so that should get our attention. Each has a different flavor, adding to the recipe.
What exactly was the message? Clues are given if anyone wants to read in context. But it was the same message the that the Prophets preached, that John the Baptist preached, that Jesus preached, that the Apostles preached.............................an offensive message that takes “ears to hear”.

There are some who cannot be witnessed to, either because they are incapable of understanding spiritual truth (Romans 1:18-32), or because The Sin so unpardonable that the Holy Spirit will not visit them (Matthew 12:30-32)."
I have even heard of Christians who say we should go ahead and witness to the unpardonable on the off chance they really did not commit that horrid sin. (I have even read Christians who say that it is impossible in this age to commit the unpardonable sin.) But I John 5:16-17 says this: 16 If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that. 17 All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death.
John says that there is a sin that leads to death, and that we should not even pray for that one. The one agrees with the case and number of the sin in the Greek language.

Witness to them from your heart as best you can, then turn it over to the Holy Spirit to work in their hearts.

You will go where Jesus and the thief went before Hes resurection. It might be on the side Lazarus was on,or you might be on the rich man’s side. There Jesue will have your teachings completed so you can follow Him through your resurrection.

We do these so caled works for many reasons.
I have posted a few here.
I even gave the scriptures cited for some.
After that, if anyone is interested in knowing what the rest say well .. You know: "Give a man a fish ...".
1) It helps save lives.John 17:3
This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ
2) It serves to warn the wicked.Ezek.3:18,19
When I say to someone wicked, You will surely die, but you do not warn him, and you fail to speak in order to warn the wicked one to turn from his wicked course so that he may stay alive,he will die for his error because he is wicked, but I will ask his blood back from you.
But if you warn someone wicked and he does not turn back from his wickedness and from his wicked course, he will die for his error, but you will certainly save your own life.
3) It contributes to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.-Matt. 24:14
And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
4) It is an expression of Gods righteousness. No charge can be brought against God that he destroyed the wicked without giving them opportunity to repent.Acts 17:30, 31; 1 Tim. 2:3, 4.
5) It allows us to discharge our debt to give spiritual help to people purchased with the blood of Jesus.Rom. 1:14, 15.
6) It enables us to avoid bloodguilt.Acts 20:26, 27.
7) It is a requirement for our own salvation.Ezek. 3:19; Rom. 10:9, 10.
8) It demonstrates love for neighbor.Matt. 22:39.
9) It shows obedience to God and his Son.Matt. 28:19, 20.
10) It is part of our worship.Heb. 13:15.
11) It expresses our love for God.1 John 5:3.
12) It contributes toward the sanctification of God's name.Isa. 43:10-12; Matt. 6:9.

("With God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26)
To: Gamecock; daniel1212
At the risk of sounding cynical (and understanding that God can do all things), it is very difficult to witness to a cult member. Their mind is steeped in darkness with an adversion to any truth one might share. At least that has been my experience. Unlike the Bereans who examined the scriptures daily (Acts 17:11), cult members tend to be follow their own devices. They are like Simon the magician from Acts 8 who pushed his own version of the gospel. Paul told the Galatins they were “bewitched” by false teaching and was extremely critical of them. John says not to even let them into your house (2 John 1:10).
While it is important to always share the gospel when given the opportunity, one should never underestimate how dark and sinister cult members truly are. They may sound very nice, but they always have an objective in mind and that is to make you twice the son of hell as they are (Matt 23:15).
