Only through the power of God the Father or Jesus Christ can a dead person be resurrected. The first apostles received this power, too.
It was not obvious to the folks who have donated $63,000+
Tho I am not going to get into their Lazarus-like beliefs...I believe in the power of prayer...just don’t think need to raise $100,000 in conjunction with it...
Sometimes dead is butter.
Possibly, only mature Christians will understand the truth you offered.
I remember reading this way back....
What would things look like if Satan really took control of a city? Over a half century ago, Presbyterian minister Donald Grey Barnhouse offered his own scenario in his weekly sermon that was also broadcast nationwide on CBS radio. Barnhouse speculated that if Satan took over Philadelphia, all of the bars would be closed, pornography banished, and pristine streets would be filled with tidy pedestrians who smiled at each other. There would be no swearing. The children would say, Yes, sir and No, maam, and the churches would be full every Sunday . . . where Christ is not preached.
I really think that is becoming more and more true.
Paul’s 2nd letter to Timothy absolutely describes the state of most churches today. There is no “revival” happening. There IS a FALLING AWAY. That’s part of the reason we can know we are in the end times.
Hear here! Jesus told us we could know the season even if not the day or hour.
..sounds reckless—in the true sense...
I too have lost a son, our 15 year old “joy boy” to a tragic accident. He was full of laughter and joy. I found him several hours later. I have seen the worst thing I will ever see in my life. While I believe in raising the dead, I knew he was really gone. There was a hole in my spirit where I used to feel him. I didn’t even pray for him.
I now just wait for my turn to join him with our Lord.
Sorry, my friend. We’re a part of a club no one ever wants to be part of.
Sometimes the things we write disappear into the void without an echo. Just wanted to let you know I read every word of what you wrote (multiple times), and have been thinking about it quite a lot (even though I am not a religious person). You didn’t waste your time writing it.
