NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A 79-year-old man preaching from the Bible on a subway was left beaten and bloodied by a woman who allegedly attacked him with a high heel shoe.
The violent attack was captured on video by riders on board a southbound 2-train nearing Times Square on Oct. 24.
Police sources tell CBS2 the unidentified woman walked up and confronted the elderly rider, began to scream and curse at the man, and then took her spiked stiletto heel and assaulted the 79-year-old.
The attack was so brutal it left the man with a gash in his head that took 30 stitches to close the wound. The 79-year-old man was left a bloody mess as fellow riders sat and watched the attack.
“He didn’t say anything to hurt anyone, he wasn’t even loud, you could barely hear him talk but this is what he got in return,” said Instagram user @f.u.n.m.i.k.e, who recorded the vicious assault and injuries suffered by the 79-year-old.

She feels that she is to enforce any speech she does not agree with. This is tyranny of the ruling class and would not be tolerated in a truly free society. She would be sent to prison as a dangerous person.
So people would rather record video for social media than help a defenseless 79 year old man? I seriously worry about this world.

It should also be noted, I think, that not everyone is a fighter.
In fact, most people are not fighters.
It takes a certain type of person to put themselves at great risk by breaking up violence between others.
Agreed. It takes moral fiber, a brain and a sense of justice and some compassion for those abused by evil.

I can’t argue with that, but that normal person is a rare breed these days. Most of them just stand around with phones pointed at you.
However, I think it should be noted that the normal person also has to be a fighter.
If a normal person came along and attempted to intervene, but is not a fighter, great harm or worse could befall that person.
I think the normal person that could have made a positive difference here is a very rare person.

Precisely the first thing I noticed. I remember when we could count on journalism to at least inform us of the dangers in our midst. Now they only protect their personal interests and attack everything else.
