Please pray for all those that are getting tests and awaiting results that may indicate a serious cancer.
This morning a second and much too humble FReeper who (for the moment) will remain nameless has requested prayers for an upcoming scan.

Thank you all for the prayers, I got the call for my PET Scan and it’s for the 15th.
I have been on synthroid, levothyroxin, tirosint, armour thyroid and nature thyroid. All have varying degrees of hell, armour thyroid being just slightly less worse than the others. I follow the instructions on how to take them, so that’s not the issue. My body just really hates artificial thyroid hormone for some reason. I looked it up and know i’m not alone with the side effects. It’s pretty messed up.
I take levothroxin and used to take tirosint when stupid pharamacist made a mistake and thought there was no .075 generic-—so I paid $40 copay for no reason for 6 months. Some people do better on that brand name, others don’t.
I mean some people take after only a half hour, etc. and an MD web guy said a full glass of water on an empty stomach (nothing 1 hr before or after) has more molecules enter the body than a small gulp or two. I know my thyroid screws up my digestion. I can burp something from 3-4 hours ago—proving it didn’t get used by my body thanks to the darn thyroid. And I struggle with losing ANY weight. I starting to read books on that subject. Sensible eating and a little exercise don’t get the weight off.
Prayers up that your other health matters will turn out with all good news. Don’t let yourself worry.

The endo said tirosint is usually the last resort just in case people have reactions to the additives in the other thyroid meds. Tirosint supposedly doesn’t have any. For me it made me feel in between the synthroid and armour. From what i’ve read and experienced, thyroid meds make a lot of people gain weight. I used to weigh 95-105 lbs. When I went on the levothyroxin, I went up to 130 lbs. I’m down to about 115 lbs right now and it still feels strange. It makes my face, hands and legs swell up.

I have a grandson living with me along with my daughter. Our neighbor and children and my grandson fit right together...the mother was nice, we helped when we could, she would come and visit at late afternoon with us old 8 ladies, and we loved her and her children as did my daughter and grandson...
Yesterday we received word that she had been kidnapped on her way to work. She had to move back with her parents because a new company had bought our complex, and she couldn’t afford it. Apparently she was taken we are told by the ex, and we don’t know where she is. Her parents are besides themselves. We don’t know what to do but pray, which we are, and placing the whole family in a prayer circle our Church has...
I am asking if we could get more prayer, as her parents are tending for the two boys. The boys are very worried that they will never see their mom again...it’s a mess, and only God will be able to save her to come back to her children..
