The endo said tirosint is usually the last resort just in case people have reactions to the additives in the other thyroid meds. Tirosint supposedly doesn’t have any. For me it made me feel in between the synthroid and armour. From what i’ve read and experienced, thyroid meds make a lot of people gain weight. I used to weigh 95-105 lbs. When I went on the levothyroxin, I went up to 130 lbs. I’m down to about 115 lbs right now and it still feels strange. It makes my face, hands and legs swell up.
