Born of woman. Those ‘Sons of God’, refused to take this flesh journey, and along with their leader, (the devil), have already been judged to death.
The faith of Christ is a completely "locked-in", closed system that is AGGRESSIVELY defended through the Spirit:
...for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ...
God has authored His Word such that all error is attacked from multitude angles, from Genesis to Revelation. Immersion in the God-breathed Word (with faith) renews the mind and enables the least learned believer to spot the fakes of Satan. The sword of the Spirit speaks and the frauds are scattered.
Weaponry unavailable to the unbeliever.
Not fake news (I was expected it) but a detailed investigation into this fraud. Quite a story.
>>Odd indeed. Nothing else about His life was odd.

I fail to see how Christians of any stripe can get themselves worked into a hissy fit lather over whether or not Jesus had a wife. Much like the middle age debate over whether God can create a rock so large that he can't move it . . .
I would not enjoy it so did not read.
So we are to reject the universal Christian witness because of a text written 700 years after the fact because ? Come back to me when you have something important to say.
Read the entire article, then come back to me when you have something important to say.,
It's a detective story, fer Chrissakes. (pun intended)
See post 50.
“Actually, the writers of the Gospel believed that their fate in eternity depended upon their being accurate.”
I am sure the apostles thought that way. I am not convinced all their late editors and redactors felt the same way in the intervening three centuries before orthodoxy set in by decree.
In all my years of bible study, I have never found some things, like “the virgin birth” as essential to understanding and knowing Christ. I have never taken someone’s disbelief or acceptance of them as essential either. I am faithfully convinced Christ does not either.

Just another ex-Catholic nun. Oh, wait. There is no such thing as an exCatholic.
The act itself, within the proper bounds thus described, is no more sinful than breaking bread and eating. The pleasure derived some said act of union builds marriages, families and beefs up the immune system, among other tangible benefits. Not to mention that sexual climax with your only true love produces a physical pleasure second to none else.
It is one of divinity's greatest gifts to man, perhaps third only to the pleasure of the closely related opportunity to create families and posterity the greatest gift of salvation from death through Jesus Christ.
Mary was instructed by an angel regarding her pregnancy several times and when Joseph seemed disbelieving about the whole prospect, God shut him up until the baby was born. While normal Jewish tradition might have suggested to do certain things, my guess is this couple was very hesitant to plan things without God's instructions.
Unbelieveable?
Yes.........
Not really. The plural of Jesus would be Jesus' not Jesus's.
Yeah, heard that one too.
(not plural but possessive)
Now hold my beer and watch this!
