Pope Francis said Thursday that the majority of the words that come spilling out of his mouth are invalid because most of the time he doesnt understand that what he says is permanent.
We live in a culture of the provisional, the Pontiff said, responding to a question about the crisis of his pontificate.
Francis said he often doesnt comprehend the importance of what hes saying when speaking off-the-cuff, which he said is indissoluble.
Sadly in todays pontificate, I dont understand that what I say will have ramifications for not only my pontificate, but of the many pontificates to come, he said. I say something random, and people do not know what it means. And because people listen to me with the philosophy that I am the Pope, they believe I have fully contemplated and formulated what I am saying, which is, in many cases, not the case. This then makes what I say null.
Francis went on to say that when Catholics have to spend most of their working lives defending what he says, and having to write blog posts or responses to comments on a combox asking if the pope really said such and such, clearly there is something invalid in many of the weird, weird, weird things that somehow manage to find their way from his brain to his mouth.
he's the not ready for prime time pope....not understanding that an eager leftist media will hype everything he says, if they agree...
Is Obama moonlighting as Pope?
And it comes to my mind to say something that may be foolish or perhaps a heresy, I don't know.
John Semmons was told to label his satires and I assumed the rules were for everybody.
OMG.....is he ill?
Excellent point!
LOL at this article.
This heretic is neither. He is not Catholic, hence by his own acts, not the pope.
I noticed a few comments on this current thread and at the original source asking if the original source is a satire or parody. What Bergoglio did genuinely say at the link below on May 26, 2015 is even worse:
And it comes to my mind to say something that may be foolish or perhaps a heresy, I don't know.
Still listening for a valid word from this pope. Rome has delivered scores of papal clunkers through the centuries, but this guy is setting a new modern standard.
Check the keywords.
The last time a pope spoke ex-cathedra was before I was born. 1950.
What I'm saying is, "infallibility" is not a personal characteristic of the pope. It is a gift to the Church which protects the Church from erratic popes.
Here, this short video (2 min) should give you a good laugh. It's worth a click:
“Most Of The Words That Come Out Of My Mouth Are Invalid,” Pope Francis Suggests
My wife says the same thing about me.
I am Orthodox. And I have stated my views on this subject repeatedly!
I see him as a man easily swayed and one who will find himself in league with unholy allies.
So what he is saying is that he is unfit for the position. If we can have one retired living pope, we can have two.
Orthodoxy looks better and better with each passing day.
Keywords are not in the title. John Semmons was told to label his titles as satire.
Who is/was John Semmons? I can’t even find a freeper with that handle.
