Harriett Louise Croft Bancroft passed away at 2100 hours, May 24, 2015. She died peacefully and at rest My mother was born Oct 15, 1924 in Worcestor, Massachusetts. Her mom was named Ethel Fudge Croft, her dad Morrell Croft. Both were originally from Canada. Her mom's family came from Ireland in the mid 1800's, her Dad's family came from Holland in the 1600's on a ship named THE ANN and they spelled their name KRAFT then smile emoticon I was with her alone when she passed. My sister Jeannie was on the phone saying goodbye to her and she told me to find a Church hymn to sing to her, so I looked in my Bible for the church bulletin to find the songs we sang last Sunday or Wenesday, when I noticed she stopped breathing. It was almost 10 seconds after Jeannie hung up and Mom stopped breathing. She was in no pain, she went softly.

People from your Mothers generation were the Greatest Generation. My mother was also born in 1924. She died 5 years ago. Only one of 4 siblings remain.
The loss of such fine people as your Mother and mine is impossible to quantify both in personal terms and in terms of our nation.
These were hard scrabble young people who no sooner emerged from the great depression to be engulfed by a world war. After winning the war the set about finding jobs, starting businesses, and raising families.
They and America became so successful that the subsequent generation never knew any real hardship.
I am a 65 year old physical therapist. Every day I am in the homes of 80 and90 year old people. I am still learning from them.

Prayers for your family. I miss my mom a lot (2007) but find she is still with me in so many ways. Faith is a blessing in these times. Knowing it is not good bye but see you later.
