The Islamic State (IS) has just released another video where it executes more Christians, this time for not paying jizyaextortion money demanded of the People of the Book according to Koran 9:29.
....As well as to lock and load to fight back.
That is why it will grow BIGTIME over the next couple of years.
Absolutely fight back. But it would shock some of us to find ourselves is the position of no opportunity to fight back, and the clear choice - renounce Christ or die. We are kidding ourselves if we think that can’t happen here. Or the more subtle choice — renounce Christ just this once or we will take your business or your children or your house......
WOW!
And marching to another place of slaughter close to where the previous 21 were killed.
Prayers for all of them and their families.
It was given power to wage war against God's holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. Revelation 13:7
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. Revelation 13:15
Christ's return will bring their defeat ... it's going to get very, very ugly before that
Both and here is why:
I see the Gospel of Jesus spreading further before the end.
Also even during the worst of the worse, look for more people to come to faith in Christ, even when things get very, very ugly before that.
I rather view it as a contrast between genuine faith and something less authentic. It is not only fearful and inspiring, but sets the standard for every one.
Do they fight back more often than it seems and the story just doesn't filter out, or do they really submit to getting slaughtered?
Just because you don’t read about it doesn’t mean they’re simply standing by waiting to be slaughtered. They’re among the Kurds and Yazidis who are fighting back in Iraq. They’re on the side of Assad in syria fighting back against ISIS. Ethiopians have been fighting Somalia for ages. Egyptian Christians do defend themselves in Egypt.
When you see the beheadings of Ethiopian and Egyptian Christians in Libya, you have to remember that they’re far from home for work and don’t have a network of friends and neighbors to help supply weapons or support.
While I definitely applaud these Christians for their courage and loyalty to the Lord, I would much rather spend my money and effort preparing to defend myself, possibly to the death, in defense of my freedom of religion than to die without a fight.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
“Makes American Christianity look pretty wimpy.”
We’ll be there soon enough.
