And certainly nothing about enforcing her perpetual virginity by striking dead any man (Joseph included) who touched her. 😄 Evidently, Joseph did more than just touch Mary, as two of her sons wrote books in the New Testament, James, who they like to quote, and Jude. How does that grab Ya?

I can assure any Catholic that Christ loathes these threads that encourage the disrespect of his mother. How do I know this? Through [nocturnal] Eucharistic adoration.
I adore for an hour or two around a married Hispanic couple who stay from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. (yes four hours; it is mind-boggling). They must be saints, but if you want to witness the good Lord at work, pick up one of these hours. You will be AMAZED at the power you will receive. And you will most likely stop commenting on these type threads as well. Jesus is the ultimate chivalrous dude; he doesn't like seeing his mother ripped to shreds. Respect him (and visit him) and he'll respect you right back. :)

I can assure any Catholic that Christ loathes these threads that encourage the disrespect of his mother. Mothers, rule over your own married children, as if you are their Lord.
For the Mother is the head even of his wife, even as Christ has a head, his Mother, even though He Himself is her Savior.
Now as the church sublimates Christ, so also Mothers should sublimate everything regarding their sons.
Husbands, love your mothers, as Christ loved His Mother, and did everything for her,
that He might be sanctified by her, being cleansed by her washing with water and occasionally the word,
so that he might present Himself to her in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might finally accept Him as holy and without blemish.
In the same way husbands should love their mothers more then their own wives. He who loves his mother loves himself.
For no one ever hated his own mother, but nourishes and cherishes her, just as Christ does His Mother,
because we are members of Her body.
Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother but still hold fast to his mother, and the two shall cleave their one flesh.
This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and His Mother.
However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let his wife see that she respects his mother. -- Ephesians 5:22-33, NCIV
(New Catholic Idolist Version)

What is interesting to me from a anthropological sense, is the hostility displayed over the Saviors Mother. JMJ. I have none.
I DO rather SCORN the object Rome has created and claims is Jesus' mother.

Sorry Joe; not tonight either.

As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine, Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do. Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;

God can do whatever he wants. That's a false premise that has been refuted time and again.
God cannot change, He cannot lie, He cannot deny Himself.
Al recorded in Scripture for all to see.
Nor does making that claim support the Catholic doctrines that contradict Scripture.
If it contradicts Scripture, then it's not of God because God cannot lie and cannot change and cannot deny Himself.
Hes not going to be constrained by anything we say or do or read.
And yet that is EXACTLY what Catholics claim when they quote Matthew 18 where Jesus says whatever you bind on earth is bound in heaven, that God IS constrained by the decisions of man.
The hypocrisy of Catholicism is so easily exposed.

It's no use, although I give you credit for trying. I can't help but wonder what those who believe nothing but the Bible alone think the Holy Family did during the years between the Finding in the Temple and Jesus'public ministry. He returned with them (Mary and Joseph) and was obedient unto them. He waxed strong and grew in favor with God and men.
I doubt very much that He lived in some sort of suspended animation simply because nothing He did during that time is recorded in the Bible.
Human reason would say there is more; logic, and common sense as well. Those who don't choose to believe will politely state their case, like mature Christians who are open to discussion; from these, both sides can at least learn something (I know I have) and behave as is appropriate to followers of Christ. Some will rudely try to state their case while deriding Mary (perhaps forgetting she is still the Mother of Jesus according to Scripture) and Catholicism. Some will simply make inflammatory posts which only make sense to the poster. The precedent has been set.
No matter who the reader or respondent, one day the truth will be revealed to them! I pray with all my heart that it will be a time/eternity of joy, and may we all meet together in Heaven!
God bless us all here, whatever one's belief!

"Jesus' mother is worthy of something."
God apparently thought so. She is Jesus' mother by the overshadowing of the Holy Spirit. What happened to keeping one's married lives to themselves? That is between Mary, Joseph and God. No one else.
God bless you!

Mary is not omniscient. Neither does the Church teach that she is so. Did not Jesus, for example state that only the Father knows the exact time when the end of the world will take place?
God bless you!
