The reason for this article is to determine if the worship/veneration given to Mary by the catholic church is justified from a Biblical perspective. This will be evaluated using the Biblical standard and not mans standard.

That is because the purgatory is entry to life everlasting, and not a destination in itself.

As for certain lesser faults, we must believe that, before the Final Judgment, there is a purifying fire.

By the year 300 the Catholic church had gone through at least 25-30 Popes. BEFORE the bible was compiled; GOD had warned seven Catholic churches about their FALSE TEACHINGS.

God can, of course, do anything that He wants to do.Likewise...
ROME can, of course, say anything that it wants to about what things GOD COULD have done.
And by saying so; makes it GOSPEL that they WERE done!

Didn’t call you or anyone a jerkwad. Asked why a poster was acting like one.
If you cannot defend your chosen religion factually and truthfully, you’ve always countered by attacking the messengers. It’s in your history of posting.
“Uninspired” is not a name; it’s an adjective. You’ve probably taken a word out of context as is your bent.
Look, we’re both getting older; let’s cool things down. You’re set in your religion and will defend it regardless of what is true and apparently are not going to change your views. Believe it or not, I’ve being trying to help RCs such see the many untruths in this particular man-constructed religion. What I have posted is rejected by some current RCs, received by other former RCs.

Aw cheese. Now we gotta determine what the meaning of “if” is also? I’m still working on “is”.

Catholics base most of their beliefs on “probably”, “coulda been” and “it doesn’t say it didn’t happen”.

If Mary was sinless, I don't think she would have been subject to death. that's what you said....I pointed out that Jesus was also sinless and He died, why couldn't she???

But, which Jesus? I don't read minds, so I don't know for sure what you think, but my feeling is, we don't worship the same Christ And all this time I thought that there was only one...We worship Jesus, the Son of Mary, begotten by God as the savior of mankind. I have no idea of what you worship, but we had this one first and claim Him as our own....a new one may have emerged in 1933, but I doubt it.

- Didnt call you or anyone a jerkwad. Asked why a poster was acting like one.

By the numbers - Does that response fit the definition of duplicitous ? You used the word. You asserted he was acting as that word. You deny you called him that name.
- Patently false, your use of the word "always" invalidates your claim. I defend the faith once delivered to the saints factually, truthfully, and with faith. I earnestly challenge false apostles, false prophets, stray Catholics, wayward Protestants, errant Evangelicals, trapped cultists, etc.
- "Uninspired" is an adjective, but like the Hebrew, the verb was dropped, although inadvertently (I often type on a small phone which thinks it is smarter than me and changes or drops words; my tool = my mistake). The name was uninspired. I think we can agree on that.
- We are not getting younger. I understand your claims and posture.

When I met the real Jesus, not the Jesus of the cults, my life was transformed. Something that was utterly unknown in the cult I was in before.By this question I'm not doubting you met Him. I am wondering though if you could describe how you met Him? How did you meet "the real Jesus" in other words?
To: boatbums
I see, so it is your contention that everyone that was known as belonging to the catholic (meaning universal) church of Jesus Christ all became Roman Catholics and they are the ONLY true Christians? Tell me, how is it all the Apostles were Catholics when the word didn't even START being used to describe the universal church until the SECOND century? I'll try to make this as simple as possible. You and I both believe that life begins at conception....after you were born, your parents, maybe 2 or 3 days later said to their friends, come over and see little Boatbums...we gave her that name!!!!and from then on you were known as Boatbums.
However, you were really Boatbums from the very moment of your conception, 9months and 3 days earlier....same baby, new name.
The Catholic Church was concieved when Christ named Peter to be its leader....something had to exist from that moment on that required a leader. Soon after its conception and birth, people began to refer to it(Peter's group) as Catholic, but they had been Catholic from the moment of conception......you=Boatbums....they=Catholic!!!.....see how easy that was???

>>On the other hand, if Christ can call Moses and Elias to appear on Earth<< They did NOT appear on earth. They were in the clouds. And the apostles were NOT allowed to talk to them but were told to listen to Jesus. Darn....those Catholics taught me that Moses and Elias stood on each side of Jesus....and the Apostles wanted to build them shelters....and it was the Voice of God that came from the clouds.......of well, I'd better brush up on that....and I didn't say the apostles talked to them....People over the years did, however, certainly communicate with angelic apparitions, even invited them into their homes....easy for God to do..

You are correct; it does.
Instead of "always", a better and more-accurate word may have been "incessantly", as in doing something recognizable repeatedly over a long period of time. That was my meaning.
As for the other points of your post which you insist on raising again, we differ on the proper usage of the English language in 2015 and in some previous years.

Nobody is pushing denominationalism except the RC's. The rest of us are encouraging people to come to know CHRIST, not a system of religious works. Catholicism is not a denomination, it is Christianity in it's purest form.
Catholice encourage people to come to know Christ through the system that He designed and instituted....He certainly had no desire for people to just go and make up their own methodology as they saw fit, instead, He established a church, appointed leaders, and instructed them to go forth and teach all nations(Universal/Catholic)
