Charismatic mega Church prosperity teacher Joel Osteen brands the US President as «A good Christian, who is doing a good job in a difficult time.

These questions came to mind while watching Joel Osteen and his lovely wife, Victoria, on CNN’s “Larry King Live” last week. King pointed out that many Americans are still confused about Obama’s religion and asked, «Does it matter?»

«Well, it matters to me,« said Osteen. «It matters to me that I know he loves the Lord, and I think it’s important that he has convictions from his faith. So to me, it matters when I’m making my personal decisions».

Mrs. Osteen weighed in, too: «It does. It matters to me. … I believe he is a Christian».

Osteen is a feel-good, pseudo-Christian flim-flam man. We’ve seen his kind before. He offers “pop religiosity” in the same way Dr. Phil doles out his folksy pop psychology.

Joel Osteen has never impressed me as anything more than a karma salesman.

Whenever I catch him talking, I want to check that my money-clip is still there and tell the children to keep walking.

As far as I can tell, he has just put a new age spin on the classic gospel of prosperity, asserting that Christianity is more or less the same as the Buddhist theory of karma. I would like to ask him what the disciples did to deserve persecution.

I can't help but think I'm listening to a motivational speaker for a women's garden club, that accidentally got booked to speak at the USMC Ball.

I've never listened to him very long, so perhaps I'm doing him a disservice, but that's the takeaway I've gotten, thus my opinion.

No, he's not on drugs. It's just that there is no reason to believe that Joel Osteen is saved (i.e. that he's really a Christian), and therefore it's safe to understand that he says what he says and does what he does because of a reprobate mind that does not know the Lord.

Regarding all members of the D.isease Party, I have a thought. Most of them admit they voted for Obama TWICE, don’t they? And Obama wants abortion survivors to be murdered with homicidal neglect. They must have ice water in their veins.
