Charismatic mega Church prosperity teacher Joel Osteen brands the US President as «A good Christian, who is doing a good job in a difficult time.

These questions came to mind while watching Joel Osteen and his lovely wife, Victoria, on CNN’s “Larry King Live” last week. King pointed out that many Americans are still confused about Obama’s religion and asked, «Does it matter?»
«Well, it matters to me,« said Osteen. «It matters to me that I know he loves the Lord, and I think it’s important that he has convictions from his faith. So to me, it matters when I’m making my personal decisions».
Mrs. Osteen weighed in, too: «It does. It matters to me. … I believe he is a Christian».

Thanks for the sanity check. The man had been president for fewer than 8 months...We know a lot more about him now. Still, shame on Joel for not bad-mouthing our leaders...like we are supposed to do...
There is ZERO evidence that Obama is a blood-bought, repentant, born-again Christian.
Osteen gives me the creeps.
I guess it could be some of that. But I also think there are also a lot of God-fearing devout people who have not depended on the government - people who have worked and saved and planned - who could get sucked up by clever campaign of religious deception and money-grubbing.
I don’t personally know if Osteen is like this or not. I haven’t taken the time to investigate or listen much to him and his word. Some may say I’m a sinner just because I didn’t take the time to listen to him. I’ll take the criticism. I was just supposing and had desire to see what others here think about it.

Yes. Some powerful scripture and some very bleak depictions of malnourishment, poverty and squalor and a dire need for help.
I have also seen heart-tugging pictures like these from Sally Struthers, or the pitiful pictures and movies from the Humane Society of the United States (NOT affiliated with local Humane Societies).
It all boils down to how much of what is ‘collected’ in their cause actually gets to them.

It just seems that, in today’s atmosphere, a “positive” critique of Obamugabe is derived from (1) fear of gummint reprisal or (2) fear of gummint largesse.

0steen gave an invocation for the notorious totalitarian Houston mayor, and as far as I know, he has failed to support the Christian pastors subpoenaed for their sermons.
0steen does not support religious free speech; that’s un-American and un-Christian. Whose side is he on?

Joel took that humble, modest upbring into the Mega-Church, Hollywood production era buying and preaching out of the Houston Rocket's old Summit basketball arena.
He’s hoping to become pastor of the One True State Church when the Progressives have completely taken over America, since all other religions will be banned.
On an aside. One of the traditional ways that MSM media have reinforced most any President on the subject of religion is by covering his attendance at church. Notably, whenever Slick Willie was faltering, they'd trot out the pictures of him attending the local DC church, bible in hand (had to have that shot).
Outside of may one, possibly two instances, I haven't seen any of this regarding Obama during his nearly 6 year tenure. It's mostly talk and matter-of-fact-of-course-we-have-to-say-this “He's a CHRISTIAN!” stuff. In fact, he had to be reminded of that by George Stephanopolos when Obama made the Freudian Slip about “....my Muslim Faith.....”
My personal belief is that you're more likely to find a prayer rug pointed towards Mecca in the WH private residence than a bible.
Up until now I had no opinion on Osteen, but now I know he is a vapid and unGodly liar.

I have never observed anyone who appears to have accumulated LESS wisdom in his half-century on this
planet than Barack Hussein Obama.
I can see a preacher wanting to be polite and respectful
to the POTUS. But to endorse THIS POTUS?? Never!
